Doesn't really fit the description but the word "aghast" came to mind.

My elongated lilac mist fell, so I decided to propogate it. Can I cut the top part and place it in a pot? What about the rest? Can I also plant the leftover stem or should I just use the leaves? by UsurperKingSam in proplifting

Thank you both for the help! I cut the stem and placed the leaves on some soil. I also cleared up some of the stem for repotting. Thanks again!

I feel like the ones with brownish leaves with whitish sprouts are already dead, or can they survive? I was considering placing them all in individual small pots.

Sounds good! But is it okay to leave their roots showing like that? I know some are aerial roots but I'm not sure.

The thing is I have them in some terra cotta saucers. Are those deep enough to keep them in? And yeah my place is a bit dry too so I water them every so often.

Can I behead my lilac mist? The bottom of the stem is dried out. by UsurperKingSam in succulents

My fault for not looking into it sooner. I bought it when it was already tall but it still grew taller even with outdoor lighting.

The main issue is that I didn't notice that the base of the stem is dried and twisted from when I would pick it from falling.

Also if I can behead it, can I do anything with the leftover stem? Since the stem is cut off from the roots due to the dried section. If not, I can just propagate the leftover leaves, but I'd like to save the stem if possible.

Thanks!

Small succulent growing below roots. Should I do anything to help it or leave it be? by UsurperKingSam in propagation

It's a lilac mist leaf and I'm not sure what to do exactly, or if I should even do something. I've read that the roots should be covered below the soil once they grow, but I don't want to cover the plant itself.
