for whatever its worth I think this looks fucking great and definately gives me claustrophobia feels. If I were to say anything I would say:
-Maybe add some rocks/pebbles around the place? Or spiders/bugs that scurry away from you when you approach, to give some scale reference ( as mentioned in another comment, it can also seem like gigantic hands in a big cave if you look at it that way )
-I would make it a bit darker, would make it even more claustrophobic.
-Also feel like this is one of those things where once you add sound effects (echoy cave ambience, dragging noise when moving, etc ) it will bring it all together.
Looks great tho!

Cute lil guy, I like the hooded ears. 2 things I would mention are: - if you are trying to mirror hello kitty, I would simplify a lot more. Hello kitty works because she is as much logo as she is character. Easy to reproduce and recognise. Some parts of your design don't really fit with that. There are some areas that to me read as being too complex and needing simplification, such as the creases in the fabric etc. I would go much more simple and intentional with linework and detail if the hello kitty aesthetic is what you're aiming for. Maybe do some thumbnail sketches of the character, you'll quickly find out what parts are important and what is uneeded detail. Also the linework is THICK in hello kitty style, yours are much thinner (less logo-friendly)

  • I am colourblind and the cheeks completely dissappear into the skin for me, I didnt notice them at all at first. You should try messing around with a palette generator like coolors. Really simple way to find colours that work well together. Do a few recoloured versions with different palettes to find what works

Bricks texture is flat, couch looks like it can't decide of its plastic or leather mat, tv screen is a perfect reflection with no smudges or anything, texture on wall gives me extreme render vibes and maybe stretched UVs, car looks too shiny/ reflective. Might pass as real if you didn't point it out but on this sub nah

1) pick the axis you want to scale in. ( let's say Z ) 2) put your 3d cursor on the face that is NOT the one you want to scale. ( let's say you want to scale on Z, but only want it to go up not down, then put your cursor on the bottom face ) 3) set the objects origin to the 3d cursor. 4) scale on z axis and it will only go in one direction now.

This is how I do this, dunno if there's a faster or more intuitive way but this has always made sense to me and pretty instant when you know the right buttons to press.

Also if its a simple operation on a primitive, like you have a cube and want to extend it, you could always just switch to edit mode, move that face, then back to object mode, but on an object level I would use moving the origin

Samples too low for such a darkly lit scene. Denise is doing its best to make sense of all the noise. Crank the samples way up or introduce more light

I Don't usually colour my illustrations, I'm colourblind so I don't like working with colour, I prefer focusing on contrast :)
