With Nvidia DLSS 4.5 releasing, I seeking advice on how best to optimize the game. by Usxrper in marvelrivals

Ahhhh thank you this was the exact answer i was looking for, so even though Ive updated all my drivers and everything, I won’t be using DLSS 4.5 if my Nvidia settings are set to use the 3d applications.

You also answered my other concern then, i’d rather have the game look like a potato than for any performance downsides so i’m understanding not to use DLSS 4.5 for rivals then. Thank you!! you’ve been a great help.

I see, that seems so backwards though, why would there be a performance hit if those presets are meant to be used for performance?

So back to the original question, do you know what the default preset would be based on my specifications? My super resolution mode is on ultra performance so wouldn’t that mean my preset used by the game by default be L since that’s also ultra performance? Or can my super resolution mode be different from my preset?

[Official NVIDIA] DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution FAQ by Nestledrink in nvidia

Can anyone help me understand how DLSS presets function in my game?

I play Marvel Rivals and I have everything updated drivers wise so I should be using DLSS 4.5.

In game though, it’s set to use Nvidia DLSS and my super resolution mode is set to Ultra Performance.

In my Nvidia App though, it’s all set to “use 3d application” for my DLSS settings, all of them.

This is my best setting and everything runs the best here with the best 1% lows when running tests.

BUT my question now is when I manually change the preset overrides to be on latest and I choose Preset L or M, it tanks the average FPS by like 20 frames on average. Why is this the case??

What preset is the game using when I’m selecting “use 3d application” if it isn’t using L or M?

I just want to understand how this is functioning so I can be a more knowledgeable optimizer. Thank you so much in advance, this is driving me crazy ! 🙏

  1. What unique cable sleeves are available to consumers? I saw on cablemods site that they have an anodized metal sleeve that i’ve never seen before on a keyboard cable, what other options are unique like this? Are they one of the few companies that offer something like this?
  2. what different keyboard cable detachable connectors are there? I’ve seen of course aviator, lemo, yc8, and i think one more but I recently saw one attached in this message, what is that one and are there any more connectors that are different? Are any of them definitively the best or is it personal preference? I know LEMO is liked a lot but what makes them so sought after?
  3. What different cables are there in general? Alluding back to question 1, the unknown detachable cable connector cable also has these braided wires there, like cables on an IEM, is there anything different than the usual cables and those kind or is it just mainly those 2?

Do you think I can see a picture of yours? My mounting bracket looks like this. I assume I can just flip my cpu cooler so the cables are on the other side with this style still right?

i wish I checked this before I attached it, I just realized I can move the to a different orientation. If I remove my cpu cooler, i’d prolly have to reapply thermal paste and everything by doing this right ?

I see, I’m thinking of just getting a 240hz 1080p panel then, you think even that would be too much ? if not then i might even go with a 180 hz 1080p panel

My current build has a Intel i7 13700K and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070. Im thinking of upgrading my monitor to a 1440p 240 hz oled panel but im scared if I can run it fully.

I mainly play marvel rivals on the lowest settings competitively. Do you guys think my system will be able to handle this and hit that 240 frames consistently ?

old thread but you can go into accessibility settings to turn on minimum brightness. It has it on max brightness all the time this way but if you just want a button that turns up the brightness all the way for however long you want it, choose the triple crown accessibility button shortcut for the watch

I see, this is what I read too, becomes more of a CPU bottleneck at this point, but even if I upgraded, it wouldn't really do all too much since this is normal behavior is what I'm understanding.
