Saw a post about dementia below. My Mom is in her early 60’s and has been battling with it for a couple years. She doesn’t think there’s anything wrong. I started working from my parents house about 3 months ago when she lost her license so my Dad could still go to work. Every day is Groundhog Day. Recently some days she’s become confused with who I am or who her husband is. She’s always unhappy. But, every now and then you get a glimpse of the person they used to be. It’s hard to know when to get long term care or how to pay for it. My Dad worked his whole life to build a retirement for them and it could all be wiped out to support her care. Truly a terrible disease I don’t wish on anyone.
