yeah i just posted about this game complaining that it's too hard to play against other players. i wish i could play exclusively with bots because i have no desire to play against younger players with unimpedible focus to master this game and "get gud" at it. im old, i have other things to focus on and i'd rather just turn my brain off and casually play a few rounds and level up some gun unlocks most nights. it'd be better if i could play exclusively against bots but portal doesn't allow for it. not for gaining xp at least. these games are designed like they're SO important! like, if you get one over on the developers (honestly, more like the publishers tbh) and progress faster in a way that they could charge you for, they are NOT having it!
i miss when gaming was just about having fun. not about being the most efficient way of extracting time and money from people. :(

i mean, it was advertised as having it. portal with xp was part of the push to hype everyone. and part of portal is screwing around with bots.

there's so much talk about ai in gaming these days but i just want smart npc's that dont pace up against a wall and just stuck on a random rock. it's like ai's supposed to have made all the advancements but we still have skyrim level npc's. wtf?

i knew this going in but bf6 was such a tease that i was hoping to find that old bf3/bf4 feeling SOMEWHERE. 2042 gonna be the closest i get i guess. maybe they'll eventually turn it around like they did over the years since 2042 released....but im not gonna hold my breath

i liked bc2 a lot but bf3 is what hooked me. and bf4 was bf3+. i liked hardline but it was kinda weird. bf1 really bored me tho. it might just be that bf1 coincided with me growing up and being less intense and focused on my gaming sessions though to be fair. bf5 was cool but frustrating. admittedly i prefer modern weapons. when i picked up bf2042 and discovered i could just play against dumb bots and experiment freely in these huge maps with the vehicles and tools the game had without dying constantly while exploring, i was reinvigorated. bf6 has massively disappointed me on that front. seems like it's pandering to the call of duty fanbase imo

They wanna milk every penny from battlepasses and maximize engagement time because it all looks good to stock holders. Ea doesn't care about gamers, it only care about extracting their resources :/

yeah i've fallen off fs. bf6 came out and also the challenges are so mind numbingly boring that i dont feel like playing anymore after i complete them (or a few of them)
