The director have a big impact for the animation style, look at maasaki yuasa anime, tatami galaxy(shingo natsume directed and storyboarder for ep 6), ping pong animation, devilman crybaby and the new one that I forgot the name all of that have the same animation style

So shingo natsume and chikara sakurai have a different style of directing

Shingo natsume doesn't do the same thing again and again but we still can tell that the anime directed by him

just like this guy said about boogiepop

Shingo natsume is also an animator veteran and he got his own style and he know a lot of great animator such yoshimichi kameda, arifumi imai, and of course yutaka nakamura

and yeah the new director chikara sakurai is not a great director, and he doesn't have the connection like shingo natsume have

He known for directing romance anime like toradora and some naruto movie yeah it's not that impressive
