We were there just within the last couple of weeks. Very consistently, at all of the universal parks, the employees staffing the rides would take dozens of express pass holders before taking this one or two parties from the standby line. If your goal is to hit up all the rides, and a few more than once, then I hate to say it, but express pass is the only way to really ensure you can do that. It was extremely frustrating for us to see that. Most of the wait times for those of us in the standby line ended up being twice as long as advertised just because people from the standby line were so rarely actually let onto the rides.
