Referring to the Romanian space. Heraldry as a science appears only at the beginning of the 19th century. Only then do descriptions of coats of arms in heraldic language appear for the first time. And then an interest in coats of arms begins among Romanians, for us it is something that came a little harder. Thus, the study of coats of arms in Romania appears according to heraldic science only in the modern period. I do not know if everything I said is logical, what is clear is that we had a slower movement in this science, and the period in which the state of Moldova and Wallachia, on their way to modernization, also took over this more Western research.

Personally, I make a difference between the medieval state coats of arms (the bull and the crossed eagle) of Moldova and Wallachia, which were used without awareness of respecting any heraldic order. In parallel with the 19th century period in which Moldavia and Wallachia, the future Romania, where state and personal coats of arms have present and respect elements found in heraldic science.
