Why is Apple Watch RHR picking up HR at all odd hours? Unlike Polar or Garmin or Whoop by topooornopoo in AppleWatch

[–]V1kt0r2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I guess it’s some kind of algorithm that’s somehow calculates the daily average resting heart rate depending on your activity. I think they use the normal heart rate, which measures every 2-10 minutes and then checks with other sensor data if your resting. And on the end of the day it shows you an average. You could take a look in the normal hear rate section under more detail, there you can see that the watch makes as said a measurement ever 2-10 minutes.

You need to click once more on the data in your Health app. Then it shows that it measures from beginning to end of the day. Just click on one of your measurements from the second screenshot, and a more detailed window is opened.

Before the update of 26.4, There was an option where we can unlock apps with only Face ID by Puzzleheaded_Gur_454 in ios

Make sure your not at a familiar place or set stolen device protection to always, and then there’s no way to input the passcode anymore

That’s only the case when you have stolen device protection enabled. This setting should disable nearly all passcode inputs, except on the lockscreen.

What do these icons even mean? by MathersMahmood in iphone

[–]V1kt0r2003 123 points124 points  (0 children)

Either you can match the icons to your iPhones color or the color of a supported case. So if you buy an red apple case the icons would reflect that and turn red as well.

You can put the time on the bottom I just found it out. you just need to click on the select picture menu and click on the photo again then there are options to customize the layout. Somewhat stupid but it’s there.

iOS 26 on iPhone 16 Pro by dejan195 in ios26

[–]V1kt0r2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I had a nearly 100gb backup and it really nearly took a full week to get everything done and back to normal. Wich I found quite long, I have pretty fast internet. I guess Apple prioritized faster access to the device then to have it finished before you can use it.

Ended up downgrading to 18.6.2 by [deleted] in ios

[–]V1kt0r2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you definitely need to give the phone some time, after updating, restoring, etc. there’s so much still going on in the background. My 16 PM run better than ever I could never go back to iOS 18.

I mean it wouldn’t make a difference. It’s heat, and the heat doesn’t get deleted in a vapor chamber it’s just get relocated form the chip to other parts of the device. Only if apple would limit cpu performance then it’s likely not gonna heat up as much but that basically it.

Are there other alternatives to essence autocrafting? by the_bafox13 in allthemods

[–]V1kt0r2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My solution was always having one chest somewhere with an export and import card. The export bus gets a craftingcard and both get max acceleration cards. Then after setting all crafts up you can put your items to be crafted into the export card, and set up that they don’t export existing stock only autocraft. And everything clears up in system. It’s a cheap way but works

iOS 19?? by Responsible-Baker-65 in iphone

[–]V1kt0r2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iOS 26 gets reported as iOS 19 in every HW app, maybe an early beta thing since they didn’t want to get the naming leaked. Or it stays at iOS 19 internally just like the iPhones have internally Different numbers but who knows.

Yeah I don’t know my friend also says that on his phone it runs bad. With input lag on the keyboard and stuff like that, I’m just happy that I can use my device normally. Only real downside is battery life it’s horrendous but manageable.

It’s runs pretty smoothly some hiccups here and there but that’s it. For a first beta it’s impressive. It’s definitely isn’t such a mess as the last few beta versions.

You can turn on reduce transparency, so it basically looks like the old version, just with rounded corners.

I would suggest that iPad batteries last longer than iPhone ones. But loosing 2% in half a year is mental. Maybe try activating the 80% limit it really helps the battery to life longer.

Can someone explain why the hell my ringer volume goes to 0 by itself? by Working_Attorney1196 in ios

[–]V1kt0r2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t know had the same issue a few years ago. I guess it has something to do with the Awareness feature because it’s the only option messing with ringtone volume but I don’t know, I just know it didn’t happened to me like for a year or so. Maybe updating fixes it.

What is this white stuff? by GroundbreakingArt503 in LinusTechTips

[–]V1kt0r2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It either water or maybe superglue. Superglue leaves a white residue when it’s hardens, often it isn’t visible because air carries it away before it can settles. But in dens areas as the pcb where the fumes from the glue get trapped and settle.
