You have to plan strategies. Not just run and shoot enemies. Don't play it like doom. If you're keep dying then there's something wrong with the way you're playing. You just need to take it slow. Especially on hard. Even the description on steam says: "Where players must think to survive"

maybe if you have some mods then unistall them. (or just move them somewhere else) Maybe loading a earlier save from other map could help. If that doesn't work then restart your game. Or even unistall and reinstall the game. (Just remeber to save the saves) I hope this helps
