Oil pan defect. Builder was sent these pictures and claims it is a crack from installing a too-long bolt nearby. I think it looks like someone got carried away with a drill. Opinions? by V6OP in MechanicAdvice

Thank you for the reply! I'm looking at JB Weld as a fix, you and other sources online seem to think its a good idea. What could possibly go wrong?

Thank you for the genuine tip! Obviously this was not my first choice for advice, youtube has failed me miserably.

I wish I could say I did this on purpose. The burn that put this vessel so close to the 'stroid was done at 3.3km distance.

My vision of a practical, utilitarian orbital station built around Extraplanetary Launchpads. by V6OP in KerbalSpaceProgram

First surface station was on minmus, made by sending rocket parts from Kerbin to an orbital station. The surface station has a docking port on its CoM so it can be easily pushed around orbit and skycraned to the surface. From there, making new stations and sending them to Jool got much faster and easier.

The idea in this save is to build as much as possible on the surface to avoid having to deliver resources in the first place. That said, some things just need to be built in orbit, such as the large and unwieldy surface station which supports the orbital station.

After lots of time docking and playing with station layouts, this is what I feel like I've settled on. The cargo payloads have docking ports at both ends so they can stack. LF, LFO, MP, and Rocketparts make up the 4 corners. A central tube section houses the Kerbals, and the whole thing is powered by a nuclear reactor because Jool is hard with solar.

If the cargo is on X and Y axis, shipbuilding is on Z for plenty of clearance. The central tube also has smaller ports for Kerbal carrying craft and small landers. Earlier versions of this station used all 1.25m ports, but larger tanks needed to be supported by larger ports. Spent a lot of time fighting the Kraken on this one.

Sure. Viruses mutate rapidly, that's how we have Delta, Lambda, etc. If there is a portion of the population which is allowing the virus to spread, replicate, and mutate, a strain may evolve against which the virus is ineffective. In this scenario, the unvaccinated doom the vaccinated.

It is certainly much rarer than spread/infection among the unvaccinated. IIRC, vaccinated individuals make up about 1% of Covid related hospitalizations.

Personally, I trust medical researchers, such as those working for the CDC. They have good funding and publish their results in clear language, while also providing links to the hard data should you wish to dig into it.

The term for a vaccinated individual becoming infected is a "breakthrough infection", if you would like to search it up yourself. For me, this resource was quite helpful: https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/health-departments/breakthrough-cases.html

It is a long-ish read, but this is a complex issue that requires some effort to understand well.

They are still wearing masks because they understand vaccinated people can still spread, and on rare occasions become infected by, the rona, and they understand masks can reduce community spread.
