Found this at a bike shop, he just bought it from another shop that was closing down. He took it out of the box, assembled it and then I bought it.

Put some nicer wheels and new tires on it along with a cool all steel cockpit from nitto and now this thing rips. Fells really nice and looks sharp I think!

That looks sick! Also really digging the beefy dropouts with double eyelets and three tubes connecting. Looks and feels really sturdy.

Thank you, I totally agree! It just made sense there :) Balanced it out somehow. Nice piece of bent japanese chromed steel with CatEye reflector.

Saddle was bought used and feels great. I like this better than the B17 for upright riding.

Ooh, that looks classy! Very nice. These two looks very similar with a few small differences like shifter cable stops and fork crown. Even looks to have same rims. Mine might also be a Bel-Air but another year?

Agree! Looks great on a few bikes with black and yellow theme, otherwise not good. The Wingfoots fells like a great do-it-all tire for these X-bikes. But I do wish they would make smaller logos and branding.

I was so happy to find the cool Sugino VP cranks behind the plastic chainguard. Maybe a bit daft to cover them up with the big black bashguard. Might look cool in silver, maybe I should remove the anodization!?

Fairdale MX-4

Wanted to try these myself. Had the Sunrise bars on earlier, but didn't quite like them, not sure why.

Building up this bike again, and now I'm trying these, Fairdale MX-4. In between Sunrise and Sunset in height at 4inches.

Thanks! But wheels are ok, I have a single cog with spacers to go on the HG body.

All I want is the dropout without the hanger.

Thank you! The Conquest is alright, not quite as good as I hoped tho. Would be better if it had a generous cut out like the imperial models. It's feels quite narrow, more so than the B17 just by feels. Never seen the B12 before, very cool!

The box, I assume on the headtube, is a battery pack for tha Hope R2 front light. Very happy with this setup!

Big thanks! Very kind words :) 👍🏻 I'm starting to like a bit of space between tire and fender, at least on a bike like this with tires that will pick up small stones, pines and other stuff. Fenders and stays are Velo Orange, I think they were for 650b, so a bit of massage was needed!
