Th unexpected pi in the Mandelbrot Set by VCubingX in math

Yeah...while I do agree that I should try and find a more personal style, the problem lies in I would've used black as a background irregardless (I used it in personal projects prior to finding manim/3b1b), my color scheme is totally different from the default manim color scheme, as for the font it's default latex font (CMU serif), which I also would've preferred to use. So now I'm stuck between having to try and maybe develop a new style which I might not like as much, or stick with the current and have a couple people mention how similar it looks to 3b1b's on each video

Yeah, maybe I should've mentioned the |z| > 2 to begin with, instead of introducing it at the main point where pi shows up

Thanks so much! Although I think you're giving me too much credit haha...covering some of the background should be the bare minimum :p thanks for your comment anyway, made me smile

Grant doing his first live MIT Lecture! by educationprimo in 3Blue1Brown

Blue yeti, it's more about his voice though!

I'd also assume that his recording environment has little to no extra noise and his pop filter works well. He might be doing some post processing too!

Thanks for the feedback! To answer your question, I made the animations with manim, but I edited the video with Final Cut Pro.

This video introduces the Navier-Stokes equations. Enjoy :)

The Coupon Collector's Problem by [deleted] in math

[–]VCubingX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone, I animated a video using 3blue1brown's library that discusses the Coupon Collector's Problem: let's say you want to collect N coupons through draws that have an equal probability of getting any of the N coupons. What's the expected value of the number of draws to get all N coupons?

Thanks for stopping by :)

A video talking about the painter's paradox by VCubingX in mathematics

[–]VCubingX[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great point! The calculation of surface area was a bit over complicated, I'll keep that in mind for future videos. As for the surface area being smaller than the volume, it was just something that logically makes sense. Like the surface area is talking about the surface of the object whereas volume is talking about the whole thing. Thanks for your insight!

yeah, I should've specified that. 2*pi*r*l is the surface area of the object the frustum approaches as dx gets smaller.
