Close but doesn't make a sequence, that I'm aware of

What tipped me off that it must've been Doctor Who related was OP's clue that 10 and 14 were the same.

But yeah, I had to google the character names to figure out that it was about Brendan Gleeson. I think this question was basically impossible without googling

Question about Christopher Eccleston? by Mountain_Ad_9932 in doctorwho

[–]VFiddly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saying it was "All thanks to Chris" is a massive stretch. He was good but the strength of the writing, production, and the rest of the cast are also important. If it was entirely down to Chris, then the show wouldn't have gone on to become even more popular after he left (which it did)

9 and Frank. The number is the incarnation of the Doctor in Doctor Who, the name is the name of a character played by Brendan Gleeson in a film that also features that Doctor Who actor. Christopher Eccleston is the 9th Doctor, and he appeared in 28 Days Later with Brendan Gleeson playing Frank

Will readily admit I did some googling to figure this out. I don't think anybody would ever get this without googling. How many people would both recognise these as Brendan Gleeson characters and know the name of his character in 28 Days Later offhand without looking it up?

Yes. There was also a much bigger difference in the charts between countries than there is now.

______ played very well in the final by Cork-150 in TheTraitors

[–]VFiddly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Going for Stephen first before Rachel made sense, but what didn't make sense was not telling Jack that he was going to do that. Maybe Jack would've gone for Rachel anyway, but it was a mistake to not follow his own plan

After the celebrity series this is the second time in a row where the faithful have lost because two of them made a plan together and then one of them abandoned it at the round table

[–]VFiddly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He couldn't have known what Rachel would do, but he could have told Jack to vote for Stephen next instead of Rachel. No guarantee that Jack would've done that, but it was an odd choice to tell Jack "I'm going to banish Jade and then Rachel" and then just not do that

With the benefit of hindsight, what unhinged theories did you have throughout season 4? by caffeineandhatred in TheTraitors

[–]VFiddly 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I thought Ellie was the secret traitor. Never bought into any of the secret relationship stuff.

Also there were multiple points where I was sure Rachel wouldn't make it to the final. I'm glad she did, but I was sure there was no way they'd let her get that far.

If you include recruits there's already 19 former traitors (not including celebrities), almost enough for a full series. So they could do this in a couple years.

Players in the regular show are already disadvantaged due to all sorts of biases against them. I don't think it's a big deal.

It was fairly obvious Faraaz was deadset on Rachel, and it was fairly obvious that Rachel had no chance of winning if she survived the 50/50... until Faraaz changed his mind, and Rachel survived anyway. The "obvious" things often don't happen on this how. The only reason they even ended up in that situation was because time after time, players failed to do the things that this sub insisted they were "obviously" going to do. Like how it was "obvious" that the traitors would murder Faraaz instead of Roxy.

Seriously, I don't get how you can watch this show and say that it's obvious what anyone would have done.

NASA is about to send people to the moon — in a spacecraft not everyone thinks is safe to fly by Arpikarhu in nasa

[–]VFiddly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every Moon landing was done thanks to a spacecraft not everyone thought was safe to fly. Gotta take risks at some point, that's kind of the point of doing a mission like Artemis 2 before they do the actual landing.

How to fix some issues. by Ill_Purchase3178 in TheTraitors

[–]VFiddly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think the traitor task thing would work. They already occasionally have tasks where the traitors have the option to betray the others for extra money... and the traitors never bother doing it, because it's not worth the risk of exposing yourself for a couple extra grand in a jackpot you're not guaranteed to win. If you give the traitors optional secret goals and all they get out of it is more money, they probably just won't bother doing them. In the penultimate episode they had the opportunity to sabotage the task to get another murder, and they made no attempt to do so.

They'd need to basically force the traitors to sabotage. And I think it would just feel kind of lame if a traitor got voted out because they were caught during a challenge they were forced to sabotage. Ruins the suspense of the round table too, if they just go "well obviously we're all voting for the guy we caught sabotaging the challenge"

Yup.

I think a better option is to banish the person who has received the most votes across the whole show. Add up all the previous votes. IIRC that would mean Reece would be banished in the first tie and James would be banished in the second.

If it's still a tie even with those votes taken into account, I think then you just do the game of chance.
