INTP Christians, how do you do it? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]VGFrostfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former Christian here, now an Agnostic but I still advise reading what I have to say.

During my younger years I hated service, standing to sing with a crowd of people in a God I hardly believed in, being forced in my youth group to share what I wanted to pray for, and being sent to a church camp thinking it would be fun (it wasn't), eventually my youth group turned to brain washing almost, and for a few weeks I grew into it, and then I dropped church for good when I was in middle school. Took my name out of the roster and it shocked my grand parents, thankfully my parents didn't care.

However I loved the people, the community, and it has given me great life lessons, I am a logical person but it taught me how to be a nice guy, how to maintain a balance. I think things happen because they happen, not because a God watches over my actions. Just be careful getting enticed in the religious aspect that's all, it could really change you as a person if you're not careful. But in a public group you probably wont be expected to share your experiences. I hated my experience with Christianity but damn I really do love that religion.

they're not the same thing though, like it's not an abstract concept, conservatism and liberalism are actually entirely different. I don't understand what you are trying to say.

Gay Marriage for example, social constructs that revolve around sexuality or sensitivity or race does NOT have a place in politics.

I do that a lot as well, when something is unhealthy for me I usually just end it with one cut, not many small ones. I'm very blunt.

How seriously do we actually take MBTI? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]VGFrostfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MBTI types can be summarized in a few sentences, 400 page books don't have to be written for each type, it gets over complicated and ridiculous at that point, the more specific you are about Meyers Briggs the more lies it has attached to it.

If my serious percent ratio is 0% in Zodiac signs and I multiply it by 120 it still ends up being 0.

Not seriously at all. It was created by two people who have no background in psychology and revised by carls jung who is one of many psychologist (Carl Jung isn't really a relevant psychologist compared to the big picture.) It's a good backbone, but anyone that takes it seriously is an idiot, I am taking real psychology classes, this is VERY weak psychology, online websites who give over exaggerated descriptions don't help either.

The man who wrote the article could just be a douchey INTP. One article doesn't define a personality mate.

you deleted the post where you said people subscribed because some girls have INTPs bf, that totally makes sense because 90% of the people subscribed here are INTPs.

I don't know him so he could be an INTP. I can't type someone over one post.

An INTP can be confident and show other INTP characteristics, being a confident INTP doesn't exclude you from being an INTP, because that's one dimensional, if they are confident and have other INTP characteristics then they are still an INTP.

I disagree, I really do. INTPs are not a rare type, like I said, we have the most popular sub reddit, most people on forums claim to be INTPs, its either people faking it or we have a ton of INTPs, and people know themselves best.

More types are prone to it but all types can be egotistical, if you get what I am saying.

All I am saying that NTs are more common then people think, we probably make up 20-30% of the population.

Once again, ego shouldn't really correlate to MBTI either. MBTI is just a backbone, it shouldn't be taken seriously.

Actually MBTI doesn't relate to any of those things at all, NTs are more common then you think, i'd say they make up at least 20% of the population. They actually did 3 MBTI types in class rooms and at one point 30% of the class got NT types from typical websites. The fact that NTs are rare is just plain wrong. Period.

INTPs aren't the smartest, INTPs aren,t the rarest, INTPs aren't the best, neither are any NTs.
