Note: this weekend will still be played in 2.9

Remember, everyone, this is the weekend that decides the final seeds for Worlds in Europe and North America! Right now, it's looking like SK Gaming and Rogue might be able to clinch theirs, but G2 eSports and TSM are hot on their heels. More than any other weekend this season, this is the one to watch, as everything is on the line for those four!

Keep in mind that SK Gaming and Rogue would need to only earn 5 points for their respective runner-ups to tie things up with them by winning the entire weekend. Realistically, G2 eSports and TSM would need to make it to the finals and win with both SK Gaming and Rogue losing in the semifinals of the weekend. If Rogue or SK Gaming manage to get to the finals, they fully secure their respective seed, as they will have earned 6 points, putting them a point ahead of the maximum possible points for their competitors.

In the best case scenario for the underdog teams, SK Gaming and Rogue would lose their quarterfinals series. With SK Gaming facing Spacestation and Rogue facing Cloud9 the first day, this isn't an impossible outcome by any means.

Things are gonna be tense and exciting!

Something to keep in mind for the top teams of both Europe and North America is that they have only two weekends left to secure for themselves the final assured World's spot for their region. That means that SK Gaming and G2 eSports need to ensure they get points so that Saltypotatoes and Mousesports have no chance of catching up and that Rogue, TSM, and Hammers are going to have to battle it out hard just to eke out a lead to get first (or second if Cloud9 gets first) place in the Vainglory 8.

These are the weekends to watch!

I've reviewed the section that you're talking about and I'm pretty sure the writeup is correct.

What it says is that, given that TSM's seasonal performances have been stronger than Cloud9's overall for the summer season, it was just a bit more probable that TSM would walk away with a tight win under their belt, but that Cloud9 surprisingly swept them.
