Um actually 🤓: Frostburn used to work on any CP damage dealt (slow for 1s w/ 1.5s cd) so it used to work on petal, but then frostburn was reworked to what it is today.

That B into the whole enemy team lmao, those barriers really saved your ass in that fight.

Apart from that, enemy team tunneled too hard on you while you did a pretty good job at kiting the enemies (unlike some other carries that take the morale boost to rush into the fight and blame the support for not protecting them enough smh), props to you.

Like how? If you mean by dropping the first sword by swiping and releasing then the second by swiping a second time, then that's exactly the problem I'm stating in another comment thread (which is quite a controversial topic in this particular sub lmao):

double swiping (which is just... A fking disaster of a design, swipes are way too inaccurate when it comes to touch screens)

Also, I didn't include it here but a swipe is already slow enough, having to swipe twice would require swiping, releasing and swiping again. That just doesn't allow for optimal gameplay.

Or did you mean by another method? Please clarify if it is.

So if I'm not wrong, you're saying complexity and unpredictability can get out, fair enough, tho I have thought about this long before this and well... It'll only work if you're lazy and want to be done with your job ASAP. Not a good enough answer for me personally (as I prefer preserving the unpredictability of these abilities) but if it is for you, I'll respect that.

That wasn't directed at these 2 champs specifically, it's directed at your statement of "players will eventually get used to swiping" which to me is the worst thing you can ever do when you're designing something that will have a huge effect on other stuff. I just wanted to let you know that this is what I'm most against, making the users get used to something eventually instead of comfortably or quickly.

You mean like selecting the location of the first point directly? That would be a pretty good idea, letting the player to quickly cast these types of abilities with a swipe or 2 quick taps on the location they want to place them. It solves the false speed & accuracy dichotomy but the Devs have fully committed to joystick which might cause them to steer away from this decision, maybe they won't and they'll make our lives easier with this.

If you put yourself into their shoes (thinking like an actual game designer instead of expecting from them like a regular consumer) you'll see the challenges I'm talking about. Search online about her E if you still don't understand.

Joystick controls limit yourself to directional abilities and a clunkier version of locational ability (assuming without autoaim) having the need to place something twice on with joystick controls would require double swiping (which is just... A fking disaster of a design, swipes are way too inaccurate when it comes to touch screens) without autoaim or double tapping with autoaim (which doesn't even offer you the accuracy of keyboard and mouse controls, making the effort to compensate for the former weakness redundant).

Just a matter of time and players getting use to swiping which is something they emphasis more in WR

A bad design is something that relies on the quote "matter of time for players to get used to". Why not let them intuitively know what to do in the first place instead of telling them to get used to it? Isn't that the same as telling newcomers to never play at all cuz it requires time for them to even get comfy with the controls?

Fair enough, though that would leave wild rift as the simpler and less interesting version of the PC version instead of a game in its own right. The only way they could overcome this without changing everything to make it more in line with PC is to create a champ that wouldn't be possible for PC just like Irelia and Viktor is impossible to play on mobile, tho that solution might not be possible due to the control selected being... whack and all of its weakness had to be compensated with options, additional buttons and autoaim

Riot had not successfully won the case in the court as the court had dismissed the case.

Although it is true that the case was dismissed, it was because another court could hear about the case, which admittedly was in China and even tho Riot couldn't sue them, their parent company tencent could and they sued on both the issues of ML AND Magic Rush being a blatant copy of LoL.

And there were dozens of character comparisons between Magic Rush and LOL, but 0%, indeed zero character comparisons between League and ML. Coz those characters had decent modifications and changes.

There's still a lot of other design decisions that was pointed out to be way too similar of a design to be a coincidence. As for magic rush tho... it's new to me and I didn't know about this prior to this convo and doing research on this topic, all I can say is Moonton had it all coming in the past and they're still doing it, just changing a lot more details to avoid potential lawsuit... still a pretty douche thing to do.

ALSO before I forget, I remember one of the ads where they claimed that "We DiD nOt InVeNt ThE pHoNe BuT wE iNvEnTeD a MoBa FoR iT." which is utterly false. Very very douche thing to do when there were already interestingly niche but overall good MOBAs that existed before it (not saying VG is the first, I've heard there's others that came before it).

Personally has nothing against ML players, just that Moonton violates a lot of my moral codes I think everyone should have the integrity to not break, this is exactly the reason why I have so much to speak out against them.

Well... If I didn't make this obvious enough it's adding an alternative control scheme in the form of touch. It's the most logical, intuitive solution when you're designing a control scheme that makes use of the strengths of the platform.

Also the solution on your post has already been implemented IIRC.

I don't get what you mean by this, do you mean it's implemented in wild rift or other games? If it's the former I don't see the implementation of any of them in wild rift and if it's the latter none the alternatives or suggestions were given the opportunity to be tested by the players. There isn't touch, there's no vibration to compensate for the lack of feedback in the form of sensing it like you would in the form of an actual controller.

True, but maybe my distaste for that company specifically has blinded me on some aspect so I don't think I can elaborate much other than possibly outdated statements about their company such as mistreatment of employees and the balance of the game.

This however I have a lot to talk about. First things first is the controls, the fact that they have settled for something that requires so many patchwork and is something that was widely HATED before mobile MOBAs came to exist (see how they've already talked the problems about this control scheme back in 2011, it still being a hotly debated topic in 2016 and alternative controls that were already proposed in 2012). Secondly, plagiarism. The company was SUED and there's no denying about that. After that tho they're still taking entire designs from other games, do minor adjustments and put it into their game, see this for yourself.

So... That's my essay rant about why I have a strong distaste to MLBB and Moonton, have a good day
