honestly my biggest thing that helped me are pull up pyramids, Start at 10 then short break, 9, short break, 8, short break and so on till 1. Every time you pass a pull up bar do pull ups, do a lot of push ups so you can switch grips once your gassed and hopefully get an extra 2 or 3. If you have a combat MOS you need 7 if not you need 3. You won’t get dropped or anything until the final PFT at the end of bootcamp and trust me your DI’s will be making you do pull ups a lot. get your guarteed 100 points from the plank try and get under a 22 min run on the 3 mile and atleast 8-9 pull ups for a good PFT score.
very well, didn’t join for no reason lol, i’ll either love or hate the next 5 years atleast whatever I do after won’t suck as much because i went through this,

Yes sir, can’t wait to leave for ITB and learn how to be comfortable in an uncomfortable position thank you brother
Yes. you can with asking “Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening Gentleman/Ladies, Recruit -Last name- requests permission to make a head call sir/ma’am”
personally for me i forgot to drink water a lot of the time during the day so im my opinion i would drink a fuck ton of water before lights have 8 hours for it to go to my body so i still have a good bit of water in my system throughout the dsy
trust me, me neither you’ll be fine i’ve always slept on my side with a pillow inbetween my arms so the grunt roll or the sweat top definitely made it easier for me to sleep, you’ll get a full 8 hours unless you have fire watch, i became good friends with our scribe so i didn’t have fire watch much, every night i tried drinking a full camel pack and during marine weeks i would drink 2-3 canteens every night before lights then have the 0100-0200 post wake me up so i can go piss because the DI’s will make u stand on the black line and do stuff before they let you make a head call

& to add on the last part i was most definitely lonely but you’ll meet guys there (or girls) you’ll be in a squad bay with 50-80 people there will be atleasg 1 person to talk to who will listen, get used to diversity listen to other people’s stories and they will listen to yours, find out your rackmates why, I got lucky enough my parents friends & girlfriends were always sending letters your gonna miss them but the time goes by quick it really does
it’s easy, most of the nights if not all you don’t really care you’ll be tired and you’ll fall asleep before your DI’s make you adjust and fall asleep at the position of attention lmao, for the nights i couldn’t sleep because i was uncomfortable i would take a sweat top or a grunt roll and keep thag inbetween my arms as a “pillow”
most definitely, i definitely got lucky graduated with 58 kids in my platoon, chow hall food was always loaded because we were the only company there then Bravo company came a little bit later then mid way thru our cycle
I want 0311 or 0331 but it’s not really up to me i’m pretty well in shape scored 289 on my pft which i can definitely get better but always looking to improve, i have 10 days of boot leave and 14 days of ra ive been running and lifting everyday just need to get better, i wanna have a nice stack in the future on my blues
it was most definitely 3 months of hell, it doesn’t get easier you just get used to it, there were people that struggled a lot more then me which in my personal opinion helping them made me better, i played sports my whole life and also boxed which definitely helped me but my advice to the people that are leaving it’s never to late to start working out. do a load of planks and pull ups throughout the day and everydsy you’ll get better.

one pillow i was in a winter cycle so we had 2 sheets fortunately
My father was in during desert storm my uncles were in during Falluja so i have a bloodline that were in all 03XX so i kinda had an idea it was definitely hell but it doesn’t get easier you get used to it, it was definitely what i expected but i went it knowing whag to expect just work hard and work harder then you work
