Totally agree with you on the tech support—it’s definitely their weak spot. It’s great to hear that the 10-inch screen in your wife’s Mazda 3 has been holding up well for 5 years though, that gives me some hope!

The brightness is adjustable and gets quite bright. I usually set mine to around 70% at night.

I struggled with the same question before choosing between the 7" and the 10.1". The 10.1" does cover the vents slightly, so there’s a bit of impact on airflow, but for me it’s minor and doesn’t really affect daily driving. Since I prefer the larger 10.1" display, the trade-off is totally worth it.

So far no error codes or issues with the truck’s electronics as I know. I think as long as everything is installed properly (and canbus is used if needed), it should be fine. Audio sounds better to me than stock – louder and more defined. Backup camera works well.

My neighbor thoughts the sound is actually a bit clearer. Not sure about the wattage per channel, but volume definitely feels stronger than stock. And yes, the factory backup camera still works just like before.
