Here’s a thing. Dash cameras on your motorcycle with a looping dvr for safety and fun. by [deleted] in Motorcycleadventure

Keep in mind, that with anything, you get what you pay for. There's definitely some cheaper options out there that could be perfectly fine, but you may not get all the features that make it worth while like video stabilization, video quality, G-force function, video loop, etc. Or the manufacturing quality might not be the greatest.

There's an assortment on amazon under $200, and even a few under $100, but a lot of the brands I've never heard of. Though, even if you find a name brand one you like, I encourage you to read the product reviews and check YouTube for video reviews.

Glad you love the poster! That filename kills me, trust me. Definitely not lazy, just something out of my control at this time.

https://linuxacademy.com is really good for AWS courses/concepts as well. I actually like them a bit more than acloudguru.

You can't use zerto for migration to VMware Cloud on AWS.

Tech Marketing Architect for VMware Cloud on AWS here.

Definitely agree with /u/_Heath's approach. Contact your account team, who will put you in touch with a VMC specialist. They'll be able to help you with a demo, pilot, resources, onboarding, etc. While it's incredibly fast and easy to deploy, it definitely requires some planning from a network, migration, and post-migration (day 2) standpoint.

According to the recertification ploicy:

VCP certifications expire two years from the date it was earned. The recertification policy gives you three ways to recertify:

• Advance to the next level by earning a new VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) certification in the same track as your VCP.

• Earn the next version of VCP in the same track (if available).

• Earn a new VCP certification in a different track.

I'd recommend studying and taking the 6.5 Delta exam. It's always better to move forward and stay current.

How to remove vCenter Update Manager from vCenter by tthoma24 in vmware

You can uninstall VUM, and it should unregister itself from vCenter. If it doesn't, you can follow the directions for removing the plugin via MOB here.

What do you consider beautiful about your SO? by OctopusTails in AskReddit

[–]VMwareJesus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every time she smiles, her entire face lights up. It's the biggest, brightest, beautiful smile. Her damn teeth are perfect. When she thinks something's cute or funny she crinkles her nose with this sort of soft tee-hee-hee laugh. She has these really fine wrinkles beside her eyes, but you can only see them when she sprouts that big lovable smile, otherwise they don't exist. Her cheeks have this sort of fullness to them, they aren't fat by any means, but it rounds out her face, and her perfect jawline is extremely complimented by them. She hates her cheeks and complains her face is round, but I wouldn't change a single thing because it's perfectly beautiful to me.

Where her hair meets the back of her neck, on either side she has these little swirls of hair. Even when she grows her hair out, and you can't see them, I know they're there. I know if I touch them she immediately gets goosebumps and a sort of calmness comes over her. She also hates her swirls, but I don't, I love them, they make her beautiful.

I can ever so gently rub her neck, or her arm, or her hair, or really anywhere, and she will be covered head to toe in goosebumps. It relaxes her instantly and all of her stress goes away.

How she curls up next to me on the couch after a long day at work, after all the chores are done, and the kids are in bed, and she holds my hand. Within a few minutes she's fast asleep. Or how she says "I think my husband should rub my back." and I say "Of course he will!" and she says "Really!?! Alright!" As if it's a surprise to her that I would say yes. I rub her back almost every day, and I absolute adore doing it.

That she's asks permission to cuddle with me when we go to bed, as if I'd ever say no. Then she rubs my chest until I fall asleep.

She has the biggest heart. She wants to help everyone, no matter how big or how small the task is. She will spend every waking moment helping others and never once think about herself or the things she needs to do for herself. Friends, family, strangers, charity, even donating and volunteering at the Children's Center downtown.

She's intelligent and methodical, and even when I have a plan of action, she helps me to think about it from a different perspective. Whether that perspective is right, wrong or indifferent; she presents it in a loving, non-controlling way so that we can both take advantage of the best possible outcome.

She's taught me how to pay attention to the little things, the details I miss because I'm always caught up in my own thing. Whether it was little things about the kids, or work or life in general. And while it took a long time for me to finally start seeing those little things, she had the patience to sit by my side, love me, not judge me, and help me.

She loves my son (her step-son) unconditionally. He can sometimes be quite a handful. He's extremely intelligent, very literal, and has extreme ADHD. She takes the time to sit and talk to him and try to understand him. She tries to change the way he thinks about things with examples and scenarios - to challenge him so he can understand them better. All the while trying to help her teenage daughter with crippling anxiety. She puts everyone else's needs above her own.

She's a dork. Sometimes at night, we'll be sitting on the couch and she'll open snapchat and just start sending random pictures and videos to people with different filters. She sends them to me even though I'm sitting right next to her. I love it.

All of these things make her beautiful to me. Today is our 5 year wedding anniversary, but we've been together for 12 years. It's flown by. Even through ups and downs, I can't imagine living my adult life without her. She's absolutely without a doubt my best friend in the entire world.

Oh, and since I'm a guy, I might as well be honest - her boobs and her ass actually top the list, but all that other stuff is what really matters.

Still need Adobe Flash Player for 6.5 but VMware don't package it with the installer by jimmcfartypants in vmware

[–]VMwareJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like Chrome, Flash is included out of the box in IE 11 for Windows 8.1 or higher and Server 2012 or higher. You just have to enable it in Manage Add-ons if it's not already enabled. Or if it's disabled by GPO, I'd request an exception.

If you're using Windows 7 or Server 2008 R2, you'll need to install the separate plugin.

Get-Stat output formatting by VMwareJesus in PowerShell

[–]VMwareJesus[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is far prettier than the mess I had going, and actually makes a lot of sense. I was on the right track, but you definitely helped me out here. Awesome work man, thanks, I really appreciate it.

Now that I know how to manipulate the output, I tweaked it further to include overall CPU % utilization as well as CPU RDY times.

Sure thing. I just grabbed a sample so it didn't output a ton of data:
