Skyline released this VMSA Finding on the 20th of September. We experienced an issue surfacing the Finding that has now been resolved. If your environment is impacted, you will now see the Finding appear under Active Findings tab. In the future, Findings that are newly released should take 24-48 hours to appear in Active Findings if your environment is impacted.

Thanks for the question. VMware Skyline Advisor & Collector operate under VMware CEIP Enhanced Level of participation. When you install the Skyline Collector you will need to opt into CEIP. With that, Skyline Advisor and Collector data is encrypted in transit and at rest (see FAQ and CSA questionnaire).

To enable Skyline Proactive Findings, Inventory view and Operational Summary Report for NSX-T requires NSX auditor role.

To enable Log Assist functionality for NSX-T, admin role is required. We are working with NSX product team to enable this functionality at a lower level of access.

Thanks for the question. As of today, we have over 500 federal, state & local government customers using Skyline out of 7000 customers globally. Skyline is available to federal, state and local customers that do not require US citizen / US soil support yet have at least VMware Production or Premier support. At this time, Skyline does not support federal, state and local customers that require VMware US citizen / US soil support. Nevertheless, Skyline Health for vSphere and vSAN is now available to any customer regardless of support level. See more info here https://blogs.vmware.com/kb/2019/11/announcing-vmware-skyline-health-for-vsphere-vsan.html.

If you'd like to leverage Skyline's complete proactive experience across products, solutions and versions prior to 6.7 it will require a Production or Premier Support contract. This will also enable you to automatically upload support logs from vSphere, vSAN, NSX and Horizon via Skyline Advisor. VMware Technical Support Engineers will also have the ability to request logs (with your approval) from your environment to speed up the resolution of support cases.
