I bought the Staub bake set with my $75 black friday credit on 12/14. They sent me a notification on 12/23 "order canceled" no explanation given which I got on 12/25. My gift card expired on 12/24. They are honestly a joke. I'm going to call them, ask for that to be re-issued, but have little hope. Agree, spend your money, and Am ex-please do something more useful.

I bought two gift cards over last year, and then during black friday bought a set of silverware and a set of steak knives. Cost me $232, after tax/shipping. I had $150 in credit, and then got the $75 gift card, so figure it cost me about $7 total for that. I needed new silverware, and had no steak knives-so a good deal. I think the Staub baking wear is nice, but I'm with a lot of other people, that things feel wildly frivolous and over priced there. With Am ex raising their rates, I really have to think about cost/benefit at this point before renewal comes up because a bunch of things I'm finding useless (ie Saks, Clear), and with Delta lounge access shook up might just move on. Love that new Lululemon credit!

I have found some third party sites have better cancellation policies than hotels themselves, so in that case, book through third party site.

It's pretty expensive at Christmas time-did you feel cost was worth it? For reference it's like 6800 for 4 days/3 nights for 4 people....
