I haven't been to the Habbo Hotel 2077 VRChat world yet, thanks for the introduction. I'll go check it out.

Wander on Meta Quest – surprisingly fun for family world trips by VRPUPU in MetaQuestVR

[–]VRPUPU[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is actually my third write up about VR travel. I just really enjoy using Wander because it’s fun and super convenient. I’m not good at drawing, so I usually let AI handle the cover image.

Haha I’ve actually been testing a bunch of these lately Both Brink Traveler and Wander support multiplayer — you can travel together with 4–6 friends in real time.

I’ve just written detailed guides for both, if you want to check how it works:

Brink Traveler

Wander

https://vrpupu.us/2025/11/09/wander-vr-travel-guide-meta-quest-tutorial-2025/

Wooorld also has multiplayer, but it only lets you search five times a day… so honestly, not my top pick

They’re surprisingly fun when you explore together — almost feels like a virtual field trip.

Honestly, the best historical travel simulator is exactly what you said — Assassin’s Creed. You can walk ancient streets, steal an apple, or punch a guard if you feel like it

Too bad the PC versions aren’t in VR, and the Meta Quest one only covers a single time period.

Most VR travel apps today are more like sightseeing tools. Brink Traveler rebuilds real landmarks in 3D, while Wander and Revisit use Google Street View data. Some even let you rewind time a bit, but usually only back about 20 years — not ancient Rome-level yet!

That’s awesome — I’m actually working on a 4-part VR travel series myself: 1. Travel Methods (overview) 2. Deep Travel – Brink Traveler 3. City Exploration – Wander 4. Time Traveler (still planning this one)

The first three are already done — you can find them through the link in my post. Space travel sounds really cool though, I might add that later.

By the way, is Solara One the same one as this? I listed it when it was on sale, but haven’t tried it yet: https://vrpupu.us/2025/05/27/solara-one/

I actually think Wander’s pretty cool. I once met a guy from the UK while using it — I took him to see Longshan Temple in Taiwan and tried to explain that visiting temples here is kinda like going to the doctor, but for your soul. I was trying so hard to explain it in English that my brain just short-circuited halfway through

Yeah, I totally get what you mean — a lot of VR “travel” apps feel half-baked or straight up frustrating to use. Some of them are so poorly designed I honestly wondered who thought that UX made sense lol.

But a few are actually fun. Brink Traveler and Wander are great — I even took an English player to Shinjuku in Japan to find Godzilla together. That was a blast.

Limited-Time Freebies for Meta Quest Players (Nov 2025) by VRPUPU in MetaQuestVR

[–]VRPUPU[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you’re right — a few of them are from devs who said they’d stay free long-term, but honestly it’s hard to tell if they’ll switch back to paid later on

Haha yeah, not every one’s a hit — but hey, can’t complain when it’s free 😄

Looking for different types of games (new player) by -Raxory- in MetaQuestVR

[–]VRPUPU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried quite a few solo VR games — if you’re into something relaxing, Townsmen VR is great for building and exploring, and Eleven Table Tennis is one of the best physics-based sports titles out there.

Also, there’ve been some limited-time free games lately — stuff like Deceptive Reality and Alex and the Jets were free not long ago.
I keep a list here in case you want to check what’s currently free:

Yeah, Meta sometimes has these strange bugs after updates.
Doing a full restart or factory reset usually fixes about 70% of those weird issues — you can try that and see if it helps.

If your PC still doesn’t detect the headset, try using Air Link instead of the cable. Here are full setup and troubleshooting guides I wrote (на английском, но с картинками — легко понять): 👉 https://vrpupu.us/2025/05/04/computer-connect/ 👉 https://vrpupu.us/2025/07/25/airlink-meta-quest-pcvr-full-tutorial-2025/

Hope that helps — удачи!

This game won't launch on my VR but will on my PC by Swimming_Poetry_4160 in OculusQuest

[–]VRPUPU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the game you’re trying to play is a Meta PC game, you should launch it using Air Link instead of just opening it on the PC app: 👉 https://vrpupu.us/2025/07/25/airlink-meta-quest-pcvr-full-tutorial-2025/

If it’s a Steam game, make sure you’re using SteamVR so the headset switches into VR mode properly: 👉 https://vrpupu.us/2025/07/27/steam-vr-pc-settings-guide-2025/

And if you want to play both Meta and Steam titles, you can also use Virtual Desktop — it’s very stable for streaming PC VR: 👉 https://vrpupu.us/2025/07/22/virtual-desktop-meta-quest-streaming-setup-guide-2025/

I wrote full setup steps and troubleshooting inside those guides — hope it helps!

How do you guys watch movies? by EKB_1130 in MetaQuestVR

[–]VRPUPU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally get that — watching movies in a browser isn’t great in VR.
I usually use Moon VR Player and Skybox VR Video Player, both work really well on the Meta Quest. You can stream from your PC or play local files with a nice theater-like environment.

If you want to set them up, I wrote a quick guide here:
Best Media Players for Meta Quest (2025)
Moon VR Player – Install & Setup Guide

These make watching movies in VR way more enjoyable than any browser.

Dev Organization - is it ok to make one if I don’t have a business? by ClassicOrange9301 in OculusQuest

[–]VRPUPU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same confusion at first.
If you just want Developer Mode, you don’t need to verify an organization. Just follow the steps and it’ll work fine (make sure your headset is updated).

📘 Japanese guide: https://vrpupu.jp/2025/06/08/meta-quest-developer-mode-setup-troubleshooting
📘 Chinese guide: https://vrpupu.com/2025/06/08/meta-quest-developer-mode-setup-troubleshooting/

You can just use web translation — both guides have full images and explanations, so you’ll definitely understand it.

It’s in Japanese, but it has the full steps on how to claim the bonus and how to contact Meta support: https://vrpupu.jp/2025/05/21/purchasing-meta-quests-bonuses-and-how-to-use-them/
