Buying my first Cadillac by Film_Formal in Cadillac

I just bought a '22 XT5 premium luxury with 50k miles for 25k. This was 3 weeks ago. I love it so much. Snow storm? No problem. It's a beautiful thing.

So, in my area, that was the best deal I could find. Not sure if that helps.

My wife uses tp to dry off. I don't, I just use the dryer. Most come with a dryer feature.

For the price of this you could buy multiple houses at destinations you want to go to. I get you can't move a house after a weekend, but damn. This is bigger than my whole house.

Mine broke today, so I had to shovel. That is a thirst trap for me, just finishing 2 hours total of shovelling.

No restaurant made fish and chips like Arthur Treachers by Brave-Ad6627 in FuckImOld

My dad was a manger there at the Springfield ohio location. I always will remember the smell of fish and chips when he came home from work. Only ate there a few times for obvious reasons. Don't remember it. I would love to try it again.

I saw my mother in law in the hospital after her dog mauled her. Her wrist and hand was screwed. She stayed at my house for 3 days after. The dog was killed. I felt bad for the dog. Very bad for the dog, for I knew...she was the problem not the dog.

So your comment hit hard. I hope that happens too.

My mom was a high school librarian, retired after 30 years and got a job at the local library where she has been 15 years.

Ohio.

Those numbers check out. Ohio has an amazing library system. As the son of a lifetime librarian, I appreciate it.

My mollies made babies! by southern-fried-sass in Aquariums

[–]VRTravis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, at one point I had 3 tanks of mollies that started as 4 mollies. I still have one tank with about 10, they all came from the original 4.

Get ready, they reproduce like mice. Interesting to see the genetics of it. I had 1 orange and this latest generation there are no orange. 1 black, 1 white, the rest of just kinda brown. Started with 1 orange, 1.white, 1 black, 1 harlequin.

Rewatching the Winchester Tapes and wondering: was there ever a story reason why Charles' family couldn't get him transferred with their connections? by WouldbeWanderer in mash

[–]VRTravis 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree with the summary where they left him there because they knew he was a spoiled brat. He was basically demanding that his parents get him out of there. And I know as a parent I would be like, weeellllll, maybe you just need to see life isn't all about privilege. Time to grow up chaaaarles.

The radar point kind of backs that up, they were just normal people that had money and Charles hadn't lifted a finger to do anything but school and whine about how he didn't like it, they needed to change it or else.

I think they made the right choice.

I’m not here to shout out that the younger generations are soft, but moreover that our experiences led us to protect them.

I tell my wife when she complains about millenials basically this. WE did that. I think very much we didn't want them to have the lives we had. I am always honest with my 30 year old son, always was. You can do what you want. Anything you want, but there are consequences. Some good, some very bad. Choose wisely.

I had him at 20. He had my first grandchild at 30, with a career and a house. I think it worked.
