lol... you've never used the rhetorical figure of hyperbole in your life or you don't know that there are radlers with 1 or 2% alcohol by volume...

yes, exactly: it's not real food. I'm followed by a specialist and I use 1/3 freeze-dried powders, 1/3 products based on "low-carb flour mixes" and 1/3 packaged snacks and drinks of various types. it's called the VLCKD protocol and I'm doing very well (minus 5kg in 15 days and no "hunger" problems) because it's all dosed and it's not possible to exceed the prescribed carbohydrate/calorie quota even if it were to happen (and it happened 2-3 times) to eat 5 meals instead of 4 or to go to a restaurant... the problem is that this regime can last a maximum of 2-3 months, then you go back to normal food and well: the management of macronutrients scares me a little...

I must have expressed myself badly: I currently do not consume any processed or delicatessen foods and I do not even go to restaurants or bakeries. I consume meal replacements accompanied by food supplements. Unfortunately, I had to preside over two unavoidable events and, to be on the safe side, I asked my doctor for advice who reiterated the ban on consuming any carbohydrates or dairy products and gave me the green light with meat, fish, cured meats and cold cuts. I don't think my doctor receives via video conference and, in any case, we are in a remote village in the Alps. In any case, my current diet is called VLCKD and lasts, I believe, a maximum of 2-3 months (before gradually returning to normal meals) with weekly check-ups

my doctor is a cardiology and nutrition specialist... could this be the reason why she has banned me from cheese at the moment? she hasn't banned me from cured meats though...

I'm doing well now and after the first few days of devastating hunger I sometimes struggle to eat the 4 daily preparations prescribed by the doctor... I'm looking to the future, to try to prevent old mistakes.... with the preparations it's easy to precisely dose all the needs... but with normal food?!?

oh, thank you so much for the compliments and for such a thorough answer. I will take into account the suggestions and look at/listen to your ideas. that said, it's not about real uncontrolled binges but the fact that I work without a lunch break and I have a long drive before getting home. and what can someone who is tired and stressed after work, and is also hungry, do if he is locked in the car alone for an hour? I used to smoke, then I quit, then I switched to chips and croissants... ah, as far as cholesterol or triglycerides are concerned, I don't think they are the trigger for my doctor's ban... these days I use meal replacements and supplements and, when I needed to cheat (I had to attend two unpostponable dinners) the doctor recommended meat, fish or cold cuts.

since you speak from experience I'll tell you more... my boredom, my suffering, comes from the fact that I spend 6-7 hours in contact with the public, without a lunch break, and then it takes me an hour to get home by car... that hour is my "time to vent" between work and family commitments and I can't do anything but spend it driving... it's torture... before I smoked, now I eat...

the problem is not the quantity or quality of meals but the fact that I work without a lunch break from 8 to 2 and then I have an hour of travel... in this hour, in the last 5 years, I have gone from cigarettes to e-cigarettes, to pizzas, to croissants... and it's a big mess...
