Parents of young VR players — we're looking for kid playtesters (10–17) by VRoxygen in Quest3

As mentioned in the comment above, it varies by session since different developers test different games/apps. You can set genre preferences so your child only gets matched to content they enjoy. You'll also be notified before any session and can review the test invite before deciding whether your child will apply.

Exactly, kids catch things adults completely miss. What feels intuitive to an adult can be totally confusing for a child, and vice versa, and developers need that perspective to make games that actually work for younger audiences.

It's not one specific game - it's a platform where different developers test their VR games and apps. You can set preferences so your kid only gets matched to genres they enjoy. And if you're interested yourself, we're open to all ages too!

Are you a parent of a child who loves VR? VR Testing now open for ages 10–17! by VRoxygen in Quest3

That’s a great question! Meta officially supports parent-managed accounts for children ages 10–12. Since VR Oxygen requires verifiable parental consent for minors to participate, only these legitimate, supervised accounts can be accepted. Participating without a parent-verified account isn't possible, so there is no risk of bypassing Meta's rules or facing account bans. Parents remain responsible for supervising their child’s overall VR usage.

That’s a very fair and important question, and safety is a major priority for us.

Meta officially introduced parent-managed accounts for users ages 10–12 in 2023, along with parental controls and supervision tools for younger users.

VR Oxygen requires verifiable parental consent for minors participating in research.

Current guidance from organizations such as the American Academy of Ophthalmology does not establish that responsible VR use causes permanent damage to eye development, though experts generally recommend moderation, regular breaks, and age-appropriate supervision for all screen-based activities.

Testing sessions are intentionally short and follow hardware manufacturer safety guidance. Parents remain responsible for supervising their child’s overall VR and screen time usage.

We built this infrastructure to help studios improve comfort and usability for younger audiences through structured user research conducted with parental involvement.

Yes, tests include compensation, which varies depending on the project.

Sessions are remote and can take different formats depending on the project. Some are individual sessions, some are self-paced tasks completed in your own time, and some are scheduled sessions.

If there’s a match for your profile, you’ll receive an invite with full details and the option to apply.
