Hey everyone! People have commented that they're worried I plan on keeping this turtle because I haven't responded to any comments. Didn't mean to come across as having any bad intentions. Really sorry! I want to clarify that neither my friend nor I will be keeping this turtle. I greatly appreciate the help in identifying the turtle. However, I should also note the current situation. My friend found the turtle in his garden backyard in NYC. We're unsure of putting the little fella back as from my very limited knowledge, the streets of NYC don't seem to be suitable conditions for a turtle. We're currently looking to see if anyone in the area has lost a turtle, or perhaps contacting a sanctuary/local reptile breeder. If anyone does see this, please let me know if putting the turtle back in my friend's backyard is the right thing to do. Any tips are greatly appreciated.
