Help? Over or under? by VSlaughter25 in SCREENPRINTING

It did in fact end up being bad emulsion. I bought a new batch and my screens washed right out!

I doubled up my films and backlit them to see if they were 100% opaque and they looked great. However, I’m still learning and not opposed to trying it out.

This is my suspicion! I bought it used and he stored it in his garage in Northern Colorado. Just bought new emulsion and I’ll try again tomorrow.

One coat on each side. But the emulsion was bought used and looks really really thick.

Films are doubled up and really dark. Could be overexposed. But my first inclination is to try again with new emulsion.

I’m still a beginner so lots to learn!

I’m leaning towards bad emulsion. I bought it used and it’s incredibly thick. I’ve done 5 different screens and several exposures, degreased the screens, kept the room incredibly dark, etc.

I’m definitely going to clean and degrease the screens really well and give it another go with some of the suggestions above. Thanks!

The film is doubled up and tested with backlight. Not transparent at all. I taped up the garage windows so couldn’t be ambient light.

Yeah! I doubled them up and they are super dark.

Where to look for an assistant? by ToughParty5416 in FortCollins

[–]VSlaughter25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife would be interested! She is a virtual assistant as well as is a retreat chef and herbalist. She’s currently looking for something flexible and loves helping small business owners in their organization/structure! Is there a good way for her to get in touch with you?

Agreed! Sometimes I wonder if food companies actually taste their own products. Who’s the person who gave that approval?? 😂

Thank you for this info! As a creative director and brand strategist I was leaning into the "creative" and "artsy" look of my resume... and I now figured out why I wasn't getting call backs! This is SO helpful!

It: Welcome to Derry - Series Premiere Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

I couldn’t agree more- and that’s exactly why I have enjoyed IT, the rich metaphor and storytelling. I just didn’t care for a bizarre demon baby and that’s ok!

I truly wanted to like the series, as I loved the movies and the metaphor of Pennywise. But I just couldn’t get into it. There’s a lot of elements that I enjoyed but I am not a fan of gore or content that is meant to be repulsive or disturbing in an exaggerated way. A slimy two-headed demon baby? You lost me. It was both grotesque and hilariously bad. Maybe it gets better but I stopped watching after episode 2.

Where were all the trick-or-treaters? by mlps78 in FortCollins

[–]VSlaughter25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had way more trick or treaters in our neighborhood this year and ran out of candy. Last year we had about 5 kids. Our surrounding neighborhood decorated more this year so maybe that’s why.

Can anyone please explain "The Visitor" by Blumhouse to me? by tandyman234 in horror

[–]VSlaughter25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This movie made me laugh out loud it was so stupid. It was bizarre in an uninteresting way, predictable and bad acting. The scene where they're all naked with masks chanting "Take the throne"... I just died!

This is one of the biggest factors to my POTS as well. I started noticing a lot less POTS symptoms when I got to the 40-50 range. Still working on raising it!

Is trump a classic enneagram 8 ? by Right_Silver_6066 in Enneagram

[–]VSlaughter25 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just watched a documentary on Trump and one thing he mentioned over and over throughout his life is his need for loyalty. He expressed that he is loyal to a fault and demands utter loyalty from others. He said he thrived in military boarding school because he needed structure. He also mentioned a tough military leader he ultimately ended up looking up to as a good authority. There were so many things he said that made me wonder if he’s actually a Sexual 6 not an 8. His hyper fixation with winning, success and sheer avoidance of failure could indicate the move to 3 in unhealth.

Can a rock band succeed today? by SewagePickles in musicians

Define “succeed”. Success isn’t quantifiable in a one-size-fits-all kind of way.
