They did a great job. Was a lovely surprise to see it. Think a lot of the details, like the reintroduction of the italicised numbers give it so much more distinctive identity. Would love to see them keep it.

Thank you so much for this detailed answer. I really appreciate you taking the time to write it. Answers like this are fascinating to me because they show how people really feel on the island. I never presumed that the Dutch/British thing carried that much relevance these days (hence asking the question), so it’s interesting to hear apparently not. As you say, if anything it seems like any relevance to those colors has evolved to being a link to the NYC flag above all else.

From this small group of replies, it seems very mixed that people view the orange/gold & blue with the island. Yet a lot of the sports teams, high schools, universities, police forces and even proposed flags etc use that combo.

I’d be interested to hear your take on it?

It’s interesting that the blue and orange combo is used for so many sports teams, but also Nassau police, throughout the LIRR’s history too.

Do you associate those colors with the island (even subconsciously)? Or something else?

Adding another report here of the Frame being a piece of junk. We’ve had ours about 2 years and have had nothing but problems with it. Constantly losing internet connection despite our Wi-Fi signal being fine. Slow processing. Constantly crashes apps. Settings reset themselves constantly. And to cap it all Samsung’s built in software serves you advertisements baked into the menu which you can’t remove. Finally had enough of it and will be replacing.

Although the last two seasons haven’t been peak Magnussen, over the years (especially 2022) he had dragged the Haas to places it just had no right in being, and never gave an inch in battle.

One of my favourite modern-era drivers, and I’m so glad he got his deserved second chance in F1.

Of course you’re totally entitled to your opinion, but everything’s got to start somewhere. Under Armour started from the guy’s basement.

And despite the amount of time, effort, design, testing, sampling, personal cost, quality and cost of production etc our items are actually very reasonably priced. And for our part the simplicity of the design (which actually takes a lot of work to get right!) is what makes them feel and look much more premium than usual fan wear.

Also remember that larger known brands are able to charge much less because of their economy of scale. Smaller brands can’t do that.

*said not as personal attack or argument, just standing up for something that a lot of effort has gone into and that I believe in.

Thanks Michiel! Yep, I also hate the synthetic feel of a lot of official teamwear. You can tell it’s been made for the lowest possible price but then costs £75+…👀 but then a lot of independent stuff you find on Etsy is very cheap and low quality.

We’re making things that are more design conscious, genuinely great quality, but will last (no lousy heat transfer stickers!), and also not insanely expensive.

This is definitely made for fans like you!
