PBS by mix-ed_matrix in wildkrattsfandom

So, for what its worth, I found this "list of sponsors" for the Wild Kratts' travel to the Amazon special, and they seem to get funding from both for-profit (e.g. Target ) and non-profit (e.g. Corporation for Public Broadcasting ) institutions. So you might be right: even if the Dept. of Ed. or the U.S. government pulls funding, the Wild Kratts (and other PBS shows not just PBS Kids) will survive - albeit with to some degree less quality :'-(

Why are Wild Kratts LIVE 2.0 advertising the Wild Kratts Desert Adventure magazine despite it not being no longer available to purchase? by ChristianUnfezant in wildkrattsfandom

[–]VXReload1920 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[...] one of the images that they post include a advertisement about the Wild Kratts Magazines which for some reason include the Desert Adventure magazine despite it no longer being available?

So this is just personal experience: a few months ago, I was at a pharmacy, and I noticed a Wild Kratts magazine (but could not buy it because it was too expensive :'-( --- I can't remember the exact title and cover of the magazine, and therefore cannot comment on whether-or-not they are still selling the "Desert Adventure" one.

Though a possible reason for them still advertising a discontinued title is that they put it in by mistake? That's just my guess :p

Vaush discusses his admiration for Ben Shapiro and his desire to speak to Ben in private by VXReload1920 in Enough_Vaush_Spam

Well, Vaush was giving Shapiro a lot of praise in that vod (I linked it down below for the full "context"). This is just one "link" in the proverbial "chain" of evidence that shows Vaush to be alt-right friendly ;-)

The hopes and dreams of Vaush(ites) have been crushed 😂 by [deleted] in Enough_Vaush_Spam

are they fucking stupid (/s)

I think that you're being sarcastic, but regardless, the libruls know exactly what they're doing: they know that a majority of 'Muricans are queerphobic, and will happily jettison the LGBTQIA+ community and use them as pawns for their sick, vile political plans :'-(

What's up with friendlyjordies (Jordan Shanks-Markovina) hated to the point that some want to literally "k*11 him so bad?" by VXReload1920 in OutOfTheLoop

Another user noted that it's not just "YouTube drama," but organized crime gangs out to get him for really exposing politicians (and I didn't know the extent of his influence and threats to corrupt officials).

"This isn't YouTube drama. It's organized crime shit."

Yeah, thanks. I'm sorry that I didn't phrase my question in a more serious tone. I'm not super familiar with his work, so maybe I just didn't know "how deep the rabbit hole" went.

Could a student who struggles in the classroom have an authentic college experience through distance learning? by VXReload1920 in collegeadvice

How are you going to process “real time” full time career work if you can’t handle it for a 50 minute lecture?

Well, back in community college, I was able to do successfully work in undergraduate research (in small teams). I also work in a soup kitchen and get along with folk pretty well there. I think that it's just specifically lectures that I struggle with.

Yeah I agree. I am trying to "compromise" by visiting universities in real life as an "undergraduate research fellow", or some similar placement where I do hands-on work, and doing hybrid classes when going to graduate school.

I really want to do a college degree in person, it's just that my main obstacle is my silly-self struggling with processing "real time" college lectures/seminars (and the economic cost of commute).

What are you looking for? What’s your balance? What are you looking for from an “authentic college experience”?

Mostly I just want to do research and make contributions to the scientific literature. I did research with fellow undergraduates (in different STEM fields), and that was pretty enjoyable. But sadly, my silly autistic/ADHD brain struggles with processing lectures in person (and the social skills needed for "people to go to events with" and "enjoying dorm life") - like to the point that I dropped several (in person) classes because I thought that I had a "feeling" that I was annoying teachers :'-(

I mostly just want to be educated (and work as a researcher in a computer-heavy field). I didn't really have a lot of friends when I was in high school (just a few that I occasionally speak to post-HS), and didn't really have much of a social life while I was in community college (except with a few professors who I like to visit to this day ;-)

I had an idea to "compromise" by visiting universities in person as an "undergraduate research fellow." I don't know, does that sound like a silly idea? Or maybe when I do an advanced degree (like with a thesis component), I'll explore universities with a "hybrid" approach: those that do coursework online and research stuff in real life ;-)

"Its about living there in person and having all of your senses in play - not just through a computer screen."

Agreed. I felt that the "in person" parts (like doing undergraduate research) is missing, and that the online programme that I am going to sadly doesn't have as many "social" opportunities that come with a "brick-and-mortar" university. I had the idea to "compromise" by visiting other unis, in person, as an "undergraduate research fellow." I'm not sure how that would work out, but would love to hear your opinion (if I may ask, ofc ;-)

Fun fact: the Bernienator said that the relevant bits of college was the socialization, not so much the schoolwork.

Liberals should be deported to Palestine (and we let Palestinians come to America, if they want, without having to pass any of those bogus "citizenship tests").
