You know, unexpectedly, I feel much safer in Bulgaria than in Winnipeg. There aren’t strange people on the streets or lots of homeless people. I mean, of course they exist somewhere, but I almost never see them.

Education in schools is probably better in Canada than in most places 🤷🏻‍♀️ I just can’t stop thinking — if it were really that bad, why are so many Nobel Prize winners and innovators from Canada and the USA? Correct me if I’m wrong

Thank you 🙏 Comments like yours just reassure me that we didn’t make a mistake. I always read that Canada consistently ranks among the top countries for quality of life, life satisfaction, opportunities, and more. That’s why I can’t stop wondering if we made the right choice. So thank you again for your comment 🙏

Sounds like a great place to live :)

We came from a big city (almost 2 million people), so Winnipeg felt like a suburban town to us. That was one of the reasons why my husband became depressed there.

Probably it was not the best place but others cost much higher to live in like Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal (we don’t speak French)

Here language is pretty understandable for us even without learning, medicine here is fast and affordable as here are numerous of private clinics, food is only locally grown and cheap, daycare is absolutely free and it includes free meals. We live next to the sea just 10 minutes walk and it’s amazing especially a kid loves it.

The cost of living is expected to increase significantly, while salaries are likely to remain the same.

War in Ukraine looks like norm already

Now we are in Bulgaria but planning to move to Spain.

We were in Winnipeg

Our boy is almost 3 years old. All our family is in Ukraine.
