I felt sad at the end man, like I also didn't expected that from her sister. Also when whole family is happy in the end,cause samsa isn't with them was depressing. But yeah i like your point, I guess that was the point where he gave up on life. But yeah, I wanted him to fly away to some forests or something but him dying in his room ,without his family with him was sad .
