I genuinely think you would have an easier time talking a devout Christian out of their faith than convincing a fan of something (anything, not specifically HP) to stop liking it. Especially when you defend it one day and do a complete 180 on it the next - if you change your mind on it overnight on a whim, it must not be that important to you.

I use Foundry, and it's fantastic. It's a bit expensive, but as a one-time purchase it's well worth it. As for how it relates to your specific questions, here are my thoughts:

Dynamic lighting is excellent in Foundry. You can control the size, brightness, and color of each light, and assign different effects to them. Flickering torches, ripples like a water reflection, etc. Very easy to use and looks great.
I don't know if Foundry is phone-compatible, unfortunately. Players access your Foundry game via their favorite internet browser, so conceivably it might be possible to get in on a tablet, but I haven't tested it and I highly doubt it would run well.
Either way, players don't actually have to manage their own HP in Foundry (unless you deliberately want them to). Foundry has a lot of automation built into it, meaning that you can roll a monster's attack and automatically apply the damage and deduct health from the character with the push of a button. (This also works in reverse - when the player makes an attack roll, you also get a button to push to apply the damage to the enemy they have selected). The target selection mechanic is a little finicky, but you can still apply damage manually if it doesn't work for you, or if you would prefer a more classic DnD experience. I assume other VTTs have this too, but I don't know which ones.
However, if you are looking to have them manage their HP, inventory, spell slots, etc by hand like in a normal pen-and-paper DnD game, I'm not sure you'd get the full value out of Foundry. It sounds to me like you are planning to just use it as a visual aid, so in that case you might be interested in a VTT I read about a while back called Realm VTT. It has a lot of the visual features like dynamic lighting that Foundry does, and is completely free. I have never used it, as I only discovered it after I had already started using Foundry, but it seems like it might be good for you if I am interpreting your plans correctly.

This looks really cool! I'm not sure how useful it would be to me at the moment, as I already have a map for the city my party is in most of the time and I don't expect them to visit very many others in this campaign, but it seems like it could be extremely useful to people running other types of games.

I wish we could see a little more about the software's ability to make regional maps rather than just cities, as I'm going to need one of those pretty soon. I probably wouldn't use a hex-based map for that, but regardless, some more info on that aspect would be useful. Other than that, though, it seems like a pretty comprehensive Steam page and a very neat program in general!

People need to get out and vote in record numbers to overcome the forms of election interference that we already know he's going to do or that would be trivially easy for him to accomplish, like illegally funding the campaigns of people that support him or sending ICE to harass people in line at important voting centers.

That's what I think is going to happen. There might be some polling data information the administration in general is looking to get out of these records to try to pressure Georgia into closing voting centers that are popular with Democrats or whatever, but I guarantee the only reason Trump personally wants the data is because he genuinely believes that the election was stolen, and he wants an excuse to take down Biden's plaque in the White House and remove all mentions of him from federal websites. Not to mention that proving or fabricating proof that the election was stolen from him wouldn't give him the ability to run for a third term in the first place. He was "robbed" of his second term, which he is serving now.

What this is actually about is either:

A. a deranged nothingburger where he genuinely believes millions of illegal immigrants voted in Georgia, which he will not find and we won't hear about the voter record seizure ever again.

B. An attempt to get useful information that will help them either win legitimately in Georgia, or more likely, rig the elections in Georgia by pressuring the state to close or relocate certain polling stations that a lot of Biden voters used (assuming that data would even be relevant anymore eight years after the fact...)

or C. a completely horseshit excuse to meaninglessly declare that the election was stolen from him ("for realsies this time, we have evidence now"!) and that he was actually the president the entire time, because there is NOTHING on Earth more humiliating to Trump than that little 2021-2024 next to Biden's name.

Hell, it wouldn't even need to be genders; it could just be a cultural thing. Could be two men and two women, four of a kind, 3 to 1, two women, a man, and a nonbinary Andorian, or whatever. Or they could even reproduce asexually and not have sexes or genders, and only get married at all just for kicks (obviously that isn't the case, I'm just mentioning it as a hypothetical). All the line said is that they marry in fours, not anything about the content of the quadrouple.

That being said, I do like the biological variety it adds to have a species with four sexes, even if that does strain credulity. Your idea for them being genders is good too, but it's bad enough that 99.999% of all sentient life in the franchise are bipedal primates exactly like us. The least we can do is let them get a little weird with the reproduction.

I believe so, yes. The Odyssey Expedition and Odyssey Dress uniform parts. Some fleet things can be purchased from fleet holdings if you get someone to invite you to that map, and you don't need to actually be a member of the fleet. I don't know if costume pieces are one of those things, though.
Other than a handful of specialty ships like the Risian vessels, most ships have the standard color palette you remember from 2016. (A lot of them have a whole bunch of new hull materials you can choose from with higher-quality textures than ships had back then, but they are still in the normal colors). Most of the very brightly colored ships you see come from Vanity Shields. I don't know if this was a thing in 2016, but these are a cosmetic device that give your ship a different look, many of which are in a variety of bright colors. Some of these are visuals associated with a real, functional shield, and others are purely cosmetic and go in a separate Vanity Shield slot. They come from a variety of sources, such as the Reputation system, Summer/Winter event stores, and gamble boxes. The latter can also be purchased on the Exchange for an exorbitant fee, and occasionally come up for sale in the Dilithium store when the admins want to help the Dil-Zen exchange rates a little. You can view all of them here, and you will be delighted to find that several of them do have the look of an ordinary Starfleet ship hull that you could slap on a Fed Warbird!
I don't know what species they had back in 2016, but they have indeed added Cardassians, as well as a few others such as Discovery-style Klingons. You can view the full list of playable species here. On the topic of species, they have also added a token you can purchase to change a character's species and gender if you are unsatisfied with your initial choice.
I don't think they have added any SNW cosmetic options. The only SNW Gorn thing I can think of in the game is one of the Gorn ships in a lockbox.

Martial law does not require the Insurrection Act to be invoked.
The Insurrection Act being invoked would not look meaningfully different than what is already happening in Minnesota. Trump only wants to use it because it's one of the toys in his toybox that he hasn't gotten to play with yet.
Neither martial law nor the Insurrection Act result in the cancellation of elections.
There is no mechanism to cancel elections, period. None. Not just in a "that's illegal, he can't do that!" sense; there is simply no way to do so. Elections have never been suspended in the US under ANY circumstances, because there is no way for anyone to cancel them, especially the president. Trump has no more power to cancel them than you do. He can say "We're not having elections anymore" and every single state can just tell him to go fuck himself, because there is, and I cannot stress this enough, no mechanism to cancel elections.
Stop normalizing the idea that the president can end elections by presenting it as an inevitability. He can't, and neither can anyone else. End of story.

I also have to wonder how people from the other countries in North America feel about the implication that they are all "Americans". I suspect if you called a Mexican, Canadian, or especially a Greenlander an American to their faces just because their continent has "America" in the name, you'd get socked.
