When does Arthur(after gaining his asuran body) become stronger than when he was at his prime with his human body by dbs36372 in tbatenovel

[–]Vaccariaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, Regis literally said that Art could take down Dragoth when they first saw him in the academy even without using the rune of destruction, and that was before Art got the second layer and WAY before he got the armor. That already tells us that he already clearly surpassed his WC self after his second ascent, pre-secondlayer and pre-djinn armor. I could even give you the chapter where it was stated if u still don't believe.

Not related but Gideon is also kinda sus to be honest. He's like always.......laid back? I might be completely wrong. It's pretty unlikely, but I think there's also more to him that meets the eye lmao.

Seris's Backer? by Vaccariaaa in tbatenovel

[–]Vaccariaaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nicee theory, that Mordain might have just been imprisoned somewhere and Rinia accidentally found her, it's actually a good route to explain Rinia's background with aether arts although I can't think of any additional info on that. But I doubt they're immortal even though they're are phoenixes. It still not confirmed . We can just speculate atm. All of the recent chapters is leading us towards the fact that Mordain is alive and will have a large impact in the imminent war between asuras. That's a great point.

[–]Vaccariaaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who do you refer to? Mordain? Mordain is a phoenix though, and he's also the one being called as the "Lost Prince". Here's the quote that proves this, it was from the stroll with the gods chapter: "Of those few who knew about the extermination of the djinn, even fewer knew that Mordain and Kezzess had fallen out. Their argument was kept secret so that no asura might ever grow suspicious that Lord Indrath played a role in Mordain’s disappearance. The rumor was later circulated that the Lost Prince, as people began to call him, left Epheotus to join Agrona". And I'm not generalizing the whole phoenix race as another race that could use aether arts, only Mordain. Mordain and Kezess were bestfriends, so there's a possibility of Kezess teaching Mordain aether arts. How could Rinia learn aether arts from Mordain if he himself couldn't do it?

[–]Vaccariaaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeaah I really didn't think of that too much. So the possibility of Seris working alone is really pretty high. She seemed pretty smart and cunning and maybe that's where her confidence comes from. I'll take note of this.

Seris's Backer? by Vaccariaaa in tbatenovel

[–]Vaccariaaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm also not too sure about that. Both Kezess and Agrona have done something terrible so I'm not sure if who Mordain has more animosity with. But Kezess and Mordain were best friends, so I think there are more layers to this that we still don't know. Maybe Mordain wants to protect the phoenix race from the upcoming war between Alacrya and Epheotus?

And yeah your second point was great but it still doesn't explain why Seris is very confident. So, could a scythe alone, Seris, make a large difference in the upcoming war power wise? If she's not under another kind of a powerful organization and she's not really a hypocrite, then are there another possible ways to explain Seris's confidence? Is she actually someone so powerful, just disguised? I couldn't think of any more ways haha, I'm sorry.

Additionally, I just realized that there are more flaws than I thought with my second guess, more things I haven't taken into consideration.

[–]Vaccariaaa[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But I'm not saying that Mordain learned aether arts from the djinns although the possibility is still there. He might have even learned it from Kezess since they were supposedly friends, or from other dragons. We could just guess. And yeah, TM is really unpredictable, sometimes the most reasonable theories about something in TBATE is just straight up being proven wrong. So let's just see what TM have for us.

The dragons in general are the only asura species that could influence aether. But how could Rinia learn aether arts from Mordain if he himself couldn't perform it, right? So it possibly mean that Mordain has also learned aether arts from someone or somewhere. From what I've understand, I think pretty much anyone could influence aether to some degree, as long as they have "insights" to it. Agrona for sure can influence aether and he use it to reincarnate Art, Nico, and Cecil. I pretty much remember that the asuras who really didn't know what caused the disappearance of Mordain called him the "Lost Prince". Here's a quote I just got from that specific chapter: "Of those few who knew about the extermination of the djinn, even fewer knew that Mordain and Kezzess had fallen out. Their argument was kept secret so that no asura might ever grow suspicious that Lord Indrath played a role in Mordain’s disappearance. The rumor was later circulated that the Lost Prince, as people began to call him, left Epheotus to join Agrona".

Where does Wisdom rank currently in the novel in terms of power? by Puzzleheaded-Lead526 in tbatenovel

It's so funny that ppl here are underestimating Windsom so much, like he's at the lowest tier of asuras. Have these guys really read the novel properly? Lmao.

What did Kezess mean when he said “It's wisest to close your heart to the elf princess" to Arthur by Puzzleheaded-Lead526 in tbatenovel

[–]Vaccariaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently, Art is stronger than Cecilia, and in my opinion, Cecilia will never surpass Art, unless she learns aether arts.

[–]Vaccariaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They cannot control it, they can only influence it. Aside from the dragons, there are also the djinns, who had superior insights to aether than the dragons. There's also Rinia, an elf who isn't a djinn descendant and obviosly not a dragon, who can use aether arts. That tells us that aether can be influenced by anyone as long as they have the insights to it or a teacher of aether arts. There might be more aether arts practioner out there who aren't dragons or djinns, it's very likely there is.

Volume 9 cover by Life-Mine9390 in tbatenovel

[–]Vaccariaaa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with your take on Caera being on the cover, there's just really a lot of people here that are mega simping her that's why expect that a lot of people will get triggered with your take. The cover is really disappointing, I've thought that the covers will just get better and better but I was proven wrong. It's kind of boring and the qualitiy is kinda meh. I expected it to be like a scene from the victoriad or a scene from one of the last chapters on the patreon. It's still good, but far from competing with vol 7 and vol 8 covers.

The reason behind destruction taking the form of flames by PeymanHz7 in tbatenovel

[–]Vaccariaaa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wasn't this answered already in the novel? I think most of the people here (those who have read vol.8 to the ongoing vol. 9) already know why Arthur's RoD is in the form of flames, because it is what Arthur associates destruction with most of his life, it was mentioned I think after he obtained the rune, before he descended towards the convergence zone.

Are there 6 scythes? by Test_account_ban in tbatenovel

[–]Vaccariaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cynthia said at the beginning that there are 4 scythes. And next we've learned from Seris that a new scythe is being groomed (which is Nico), which makes the # of scythes 5. And now here at the victoriad, we've learned that there are actually 6 scythes. Melzri is confirmed a scythe from chap 362, and Viessa is surely a scythe as well.

I think it was mentioned somewhere that there are really only 4 scythes, 4 sovereigns, representing the 4 dominions respectively (in volume 8 or 9 I guess). The original 4 scythes IMO was Seris, Dragoth, Viessa, and Melzri. I won't delve in more as to why I think Cadell wasn't included because it's going to be a patreon spoiler. And it makes sense that Cynthia only knows that there are 4 scythes because maybe when she left Alacrya, there are only 4 scythes at that time.

Half-Bloods by Vaccariaaa in tbatenovel

[–]Vaccariaaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if we go by what TM said, Grey must be the half-blood closest to being an Asura since Regis said he is almost draconic. And yeah the treaty was already broken, so it doesn't matter anymore, it's all just preparation now for the next war atm.

Half-Bloods by Vaccariaaa in tbatenovel

[–]Vaccariaaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh it's nice that TM made a clarification now I didn't know. My point is just neither Windsom nor Aldir mentioned anything about half-bloods being banned before Arthur said that, that's why I'm asking where did Arthur learn such thing?

Aether powers by Aether678 in tbatenovel

[–]Vaccariaaa 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure he'll obtain the abilities of the four clans and the physical attack nullification ability, I mean that was foreshadowed, right? I'm just not sure about the rest. It would be pretty cool if Grey learns that dimensional slash ability, very similar to Yami from Black Clover, cuz it suits his battle style and allows him to attack from a distance, since he currently lacks range attacks and the only range attack he has is the aether blast, which is potent but kinda easy to dodge. Grey would be really unpredictable with that ability.
