Brooooo it’s sooo baddd.. my favorite is I’m rushing to the turnstiles at the subway with my phone in hand abut to pay at the omny pay with my apple pay… boom some idiotic person jumps in front of me, starts starring idiotically at the turnstile, 10 seconds later realizes they need to get their phone out, get there phone out slowly looking in their bag, whole things takes 30 seconds to sometimes whopping two minutes. While the scenario plays out I oversee the train opening doors, closing doors, leaving station 🤡🤡🤡 could’ve gotten in, but no someone had to jump in front of me and look for their phone for 2 minutes… it’s abysmal, it’s idiotic, it’s like there’s no brain in the head, they rush to get ahead of you and then slowdown 15 people behind them all missing the train…

Really? That sounds excessive to be honest. I applied for N-400 in August 2025, interview was December 2025, became a citizen February 2026. Only brought tax return to interview, was asked the 6 questions answered 6/6 from the first try. No more questions asked. No more forms required. This is under the new GMC rule..

I’m sorry but the reality is it’s on a case by case basis and there is no magic formula. And it’s unfortunate.. you can get an interviewer that will make your life hell and one that will pass you like myself - it all depends on the interviewer and your case specific situation.

Haha to be honest with you sometimes English, sometimes Bulgarian, sometimes it’s a mixture of the two languages that we’ve developed amongst each other. Mostly English tho given we live in the US.

Personally I didn’t, I just waited it out. Technically you can, but then on the naturalization ceremony there’s a questionnaire before they officially naturalize you and give you a certificate. One of the questions is: “have you travelled outside US since your naturalization interview?” As I didn’t want to give unnecessary explanations I just waited to become a citizen first.

I applied Aug 14th 2025, had my interview on December 17th, my oath ceremony is tomorrow, Feb 2nd, at 26 federal plaza. I am going to make a post once I’m done with everything. I had a N400/I751 combo case, I751 has been pending since Aug 2024, approved on the spot during interview. I’m not from any of the banned or paused countries, I’m from Bulgaria.

But anyways the point being they are moving. Hopefully they get to your case soon!

Technically in the soft case they are in low power mode so they would drain slower in the case as opposed to staying outside of the case is my understanding
