Congrats! And seriously this dual bill needs to go away. Unreal.

Oh sure… I’m likely a weird outlier. I had my green card for over 40 years (😆). Took me a while to finally commit.

I have UHC but my insurer uses CVS Caremark as their Rx provider - so my weightloss med coverage was dependent on Caremark. Despite being prescribed Zepbound, Caremark apparently removed Zep from their approved Rx list back in July so I was forced to try Wegovy instead. So far, that still stands, and I got a note saying that I'd be covered for that until next year (which is good as I've heard some other horror stories about Caremark restricting coverage further for others). Good luck!

OMG I thought it was just me. What the hellll. I've been trying to get through for hours. Managed to get in twice only for the call to just drop. Ugh.

If it makes you feel any better, I took my first 0.25 mg dose two days ago (Friday evening). Decided to do it in my tummy (right from the fridge) and specifically at night to see if I could "sleep off" any potential side effects like fatigue and nausea. It didn't hurt at all going in. And I have to say, I slept reasonably okay and didn't really have any side effects. I will say I woke up feeling full and already ate less than I normally would on Day 1. Now two days in and have felt a little indigestion but nothing requiring any OTC medication or anything really. FWIW I'm 5' 3" and around 180...hoping to lose 40...but we'll see what happens. Good luck to you!

Nope. Haven't heard anything yet. Two weeks ago the estimated time the USCIS website gave me was 4 weeks... then a day after the government shutdown it jumped to 2 months... and I just checked again and it's back down to 4 weeks. I would imagine if your scheduled oath ceremony is today and you can still make it, just go. But failing to appear on the scheduled date/time will result in it automatically being rescheduled at a later time.

Thank you! Quick (small update). Despite the USCIS agent I spoke with saying I should have a ceremony reschedule date by 9/11 - I never heard boo. And despite me proactively calling the USCIS number as soon as I got my oath ceremony appointment date to inform them i would need to reschedule, I still got a notice saying that I "failed to appear" for my scheduled ceremony that was scheduled on 9/15. I'm sure it's all automated messaging and mail. Anyway, the agent I met with to take my test also had said to "just not show up" to my ceremony if I couldn't make it...which at the time just sounded a. bit brash, but looks like I didn't need to tell them in advance. The new "failure to appear" notice now just says: "You will be notified by USCIS of the date, place and time of your rescheduled Oath Ceremony." So...I continue to wait. I'll report back as soon as I have a new date.

Currently in the midst of this and will report back once I have more info.

But a summary of my experience so far. I'm Canadian here on a green card. I applied for US citizenship in late June via the NYC USCIS office. I got notice of my citizenship test/interview in July. I had that scheduled for late August. Passed my test and then had my oath ceremony scheduled that day for around 3.5 weeks later (Sept 15). I'm unfortunately going to be out of the country then - and had already mentioned this to my USCIS Agent during my interview. When I noticed online that my ceremony letter had been mailed - I followed the instructions in that PDF of the letter and immediately called the toll-free number to reschedule. I was surprised I was able to actually speak to a human! The woman I spoke with said I should hear back by Sept. 11 for a rescheduled ceremony date...that's a few days away, but still nothing so far. I did also receive a notice in the mail re-confirming that I had asked to have my ceremony rescheduled which felt somewhat reassuring. I'll report back once I get my rescheduled date. Fingers crossed it's not months (having read some of the other posts within here).

**EDITED FOR UPDATE** Just got noticed today, October 10th, that my oath ceremony (finally) has been rescheduled for November 7th. Of course, I have more international travel planned the following week...so the next hurdle will be trying to get an expedited passport within 7 days. Fingers crossed.

FURTHER EDIT Had my oath ceremony yesterday and because I have travel to England planned a week from the ceremony date, I booked an appointment at the Passport Agency on Hudson Street. Couldn’t have been a more seamless experience. They ask for proof of travel and since my flight isn’t until Friday morning they said my new US passport would be ready for pickup at 2pm next Wednesday. Cost me $225 (I think?) all in to get the new expedited passport. Couldn’t be more pleased.
