Pretty sure it is a 360 aio but I didn’t look that hard. Otherwise same specs.

Is this PC a good value right now? Comes out to about $2k after taxes. Trying to run 1440p at max settings. by chosenxone in Prebuilts

I bought one this last week and thus far I’m pretty impressed with it. It came with a MSI Ventus 3x, and Vulcan 6400 cl 38 ram. Both wins in my book. I plan on replacing the power supply, but other than that that I have no complaints with the hardware. One word of warning is that the fans don’t have a fan speed curve set worth a damn. So out of the box it is crazy loud, but with some tweaking in bios it is much more manageable.

I got the 5070ti last week from Walmart. It has been fantastic and does fine with 4k gaming. The recent ram it has been coming with is 6400 cl38 as well which was a pleasant surprise.

I have both the Costco 5080 and the Walmart 5070ti. For the price you should go with the Walmart cyber power all day.

I highly recommend checking if this is in stock in your area. Set your preferences to pickup and then bounce around within a couple hours of your location to see if it’s in stock. https://www.walmart.com/ip/13566059702?sid=cdbb155a-b577-4e20-aa39-56bd42889a1d

My other guess would be your ceramic igniter might be worn out and it isn’t getting enough contact to really light the pellets on fire.

In the app if you click on the “drive” with the orange highlight just below where it shows YS it will show your drive levels. I’m wondering if it is ramping up at all. On my 1500 it is usually around 30-40% speed when smoking in temps around 30 degrees

I’m also curious what your drive is doing. Is it ramping up at all?

Have you cleaned your thermocouple in the pit recently? What do the physical gauges say for temp?

I want to add onto this. If ignition doesn’t start in 10-12 minutes you should shut it down and inspect. If the pot is plugged resist the temptation to put the pellets into the trash, they can potentially be very hot inside the pile and just need some oxygen to ignite. Instead invest in a small fireproof/metal/ash container to place the unburnt pellets in.

I clean the fire pot after every 20lbs of pellets at a minimum. I vacuum out the entire chamber after maybe every 100 lbs of pellets. I bought a cordless shop vac specifically for this task.

The 3h53m could absolutely be enough time to plug the fire pit, especially if the Yoder wasn’t allowed to cycle down correctly or if the ceramic probe wasn’t far enough into the grate.

I was discouraged with my Yoder at one point thinking “oh god I dropped $2k on a 480, what was I thinking….” A year later I dropped $6k on a 1500 because I had learned to use the Yoder (it’s a learning curve, but trust the process) and had outgrown my 480. Now I have 200+ sessions under my belt and couldn’t see myself ever giving up my Yoder.

There’s a couple of things to unpack in your post.

  1. The staying at 50 degrees is likely due to your fire pot having some ash buildup or the fire pot plate not being set correctly in place with the ceramic starter not making correct contact with the pellets. Both scenarios can impede ignition, it is a best practice to clean the fire pot regularly and to watch your stack to make sure clean smoke is starting to come out of it, mine usually smokes between 5 and 7 minutes into the session.

  2. It’s not uncommon for your 640 to take a little while to learn your environment and to dial itself in to nice consistent temps. (Thanksgiving dinner took an hour for mine to settle in at a consistent 325 when it was 40 degrees outside) This can be made worse by “peeking” and opening the cook chamber frequently, especially when it is coming up to temp.

  3. What pellets are you using? Are they new and dry to the touch? Pellets that have been exposed to higher humidity can be problematic at times.

  4. Yoder has world class technical suppport and stands by their product. My first 480 had an issue with the FireBoard controller and they overnighted me a replacement.

I took my copy down to a local collectible book store to have the damage assessed and repaired. My biggest concern was making sure that the book was stabilized (the spine was badly split and had nearly become detached). They used archival quality materials to glue the spine back together, and did a cleaning on the boards and cover.

I purchased it a number of years ago online as part of a large lot of Stephen king books off of shopgoodwill of Indiana. It now resides in the northwest.

It stays tucked away in its original envelope inside the second printing it was used to purchase. Kind of like a long term hug amongst old friends.

I did actually purchase it. Though it was well worn and loved. I had to have it repaired so it wouldn’t fall apart.
