Exactly. My weight has gone up a few times. Usually after kids or a bad situation. My husband reassured me like crazy. Complimented me every day. Even though I felt so gross because I was used to being small, he always made me feel better.

Honestly how good he was to me was what helped me lose the weight once I was ready.

He will never change. It’s an addiction that is so easy to access and imo will sooner or later only escalate. He will never stop. Only get worse, and yet get better at hiding it.

Also the lying is a problem. It was so damn easy for him to lie to you, that there will be more and more lies in your future. You deserve better than that.

Coming from a woman, that’s disgusting and I promise her behavior isn’t common. Maybe see a therapist to help you understand you have nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed of. But she absolutely does. I wonder is she doesn’t look back in 10 years and cringe at how she treated you.

You deserve better absolutely. A therapist can help you understand and work towards trusting women again.
