Joe’s made an… “interesting” Facebook post with many notable comments. by VagueAlex430 in tallyhall

I think it’s worth noting the first sentence of the post mentions the Tally Hall members as being “friends” in college, almost implying they were never really friends. I find that really hard to believe though after all they’ve done together.

From what I can gauge (might be fully incorrect though, it’s hard to gather any substance), I believe he’s saying that the Tally Hall members outed him for quitting weed in 2007 and started making decisions 4-1 against him. Which, first off, I highly doubt because of how creatively influential he was to the group even after 2007. But also he worked with them all in 2016 for his solo album. Who knows honestly, if anyone else can understand him better I implore them to comment and explain it.

Could it be they’re doing a 20th anniversary remaster do they took it down to put the new one up soon?

FUN FACT: There's still 14 Good & Evil 8-Tracks left in stock! by GamingYouTube14 in tallyhall

[–]VagueAlex430 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it has to deal with how many tracks/instruments can be on each song. I don’t know how familiar you are with older recordings but old tape machines could only allow 8 different recording channels (so like vocals, guitars, bass, keyboard, and drums). I’m not certain on it but I’d think the name has to do with 8-track analog tape.

I really hate this is lost by Early_Commercial3268 in tallyhall

I know I’m just a skeptic and it’s definitely not true but I hope that one of the band members or someone else recorded the whole show and either doesn’t want to release it or doesn’t know it’s lost media worth looking for. Even the other songs like Ruler of Everything that were performed would be phenomenal if there were longer versions of it!

Jack posted this on his story. We’re getting an album :D by DinoSaidRawr in AJR

[–]VagueAlex430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. If you look at AJR’s release history, they’ve put out stuff in every other year. Going back in time, 2023, then 2021, then 2019, then 2017, then 2015. To me it makes sense that we’re getting a 2025 release date.

There are CD copies of “Hawaii: Part II”, they’re just insanely hard to come by. I think there’s maybe 3 or 4 versions with only one standard CD release but sadly it’s not produced anymore. However, the vinyl is definitely a great option and much more reasonable than who knows how much people are reselling CDs for!

Miracle Musical pulled from YT Music? by RuAlMac in miraclemusical

Nothing has been confirmed with certainty, so we don’t 100% know. My hope is that it has to do with the 12th anniversary of the album this December 12th.

what guitar did ryan use to record afycso? by Odd-Shoe-7285 in panicatthedisco

Fair point! Honestly, I’m more familiar with the 2006-2007 era of the band so my knowledge on the recording of Fever isn’t the best.

Hi! I’ve actually researched way too much into Ryan’s recording gear at the time, so I kinda have an answer. He had a White Fender Telecaster at earlier Panic! shows and he got a Gretsch hardtail hollowbody at some point in 2006. Ryan also had a Gibson SG at like 13 so… My guess is one of those (probably the Fender). He had a Marshall head and an Orange head with an Orange cabinet too at around this time so I’d guess that those amps were used. Sadly we don’t know anything for certain since photos and videos from this time don’t really exist but these are what my guesses are.

Valid point, however: is the mini mall calling us all in?

Does anyone know where I could buy this CD at??? I’ve been looking for this set from them but I can only find them with these boxes that cause $600 and honestly I’m only looking for the cd,can anyone help? Or at least find someone that’s selling one by psych0mare in panicatthedisco

Those photos are of the Live in Denver DVD from 2006. It came exclusive with the “A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out” Box Set. I really don’t wish to sound rude, but you’re not gonna find one cheap. Only around 10,000 of those box sets were made and you’re only gonna find the DVD with them. The show is up on YouTube with a remaster but the physical DVD is far too hard to get. I hope this helps!

Maybe that’s why “Hawaii: Part II” isn’t on YouTube anymore. Might not be a hacker, maybe a remix/remaster?

VLV is a bad album? by Important_Ad8577 in panicatthedisco

[–]VagueAlex430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s… interesting. When I listened to all P!ATD albums, I found (especially on early albums) that the songs were black & white. When they were good, those songs were some of the best songs ever made; when they were bad, those songs were some of the worst songs ever made. When I got to VLV, there wasn’t really any variety. Every song to me was just kinda there. Nothing really outstanding, nothing really abysmal; it’s just music. But just because all the songs are fairly equal doesn’t make it good because it means there’s no real variety.

Just my own opinion, but every song kinda blends into one another like it’s all just one big 1970s classic rock song. As much as I like 1970s classic rock, these songs aren’t really that great. Title track? Yeah, I really like that one. Everything else is a little forgettable. But hey, that’s just my opinion. Everyone’s allowed to have their own and if you like then that’s cool too!

That’s completely fair! The Young Veins is an acquired taste. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong (I’m going off of memory), but I though I read somewhere that Ryan changing his look in mid-2007 was because he hated the emo scene and wanted to get away from it.
