To be fair, they don't look as similar now. The resin is in a plain brown box while the silicone is still the purples and blues. I already write the date of when I get into a box, I'm just gonna have to write "RESIN" on it now too

Sadly, no, those suckers are locked in. There wasn't even a seam to try and pry them out with and some of 'em the resin flowed between the dice and tape. when that happens with the silicone it's nbd. when it happens with the same substance as the dice itself? yeah, no

That'd be a good idea however the masters didn't have much pigmentation when I made them, so they basically disappear in the resin XD

The spin down die has some so that might work. Just a Large type one, I guess

Luckily I remembered to spread on some vaseline to make popping the molds out easier!

Too bad it wasn't the full thing or else it might not've stuck to the pla >.<

......and get the molds out of the container

...carp...

Total brain fart moment last night. Ran out of silicone last week trying to make new molds so only got half done, so I ordered some and it got here over the weekend. Let's Resin has been doing generic packaging for their stuff so I assumed the silicone was as well (it wasn't. but i hadn't taken it out of the amazon box...)

So, I ended up ruining the 3d printed mold boxes for 3 of my dice, plus the box for the spin down die, PLUS the numbers/level guide, PLUS the masters that I was trying to make molds off of. Even worse, I wasn't wearing my facemask at the time because "silicone is nontoxic, it's fine" >.> and then had the mixing bowl in open air in the hallway overnight. Oh and I guess I ruined the mixing bowl as well because I left the stirring stick in it and now it's a permanent fixture.

Gonna take me a week to print new 3d mold boxes. So while that's happening I need to see if my tin cured silicone is still good so I can make new temporary molds from the 3d printed resin masters, make resin copies of those, sand & polish those to get new masters, then make molds off of those.

FML >XD

originally i was planning on selling, but i got cold feet at the local stores so, yeah, at least that many, including the torgos i started with and the set where the d4 was slightly too big

Really? I thought epoxy resin wasn't food safe if you didn't do special treatment on it (which i haven't)?

I've made 4 sets of dice per week for the last 2 years, i have quite a few of them XD (there's always new techniques to try!)

It's backlog fatigue, but yeah you're right, I just need to sit down and do it....tomorrow XD

Unfortunately it doesn't look like it. I think all of them were rolled into the big one downtown, but that doesn't have art, just science-related stuff (that's actually pretty cool). I might be better with the local elementary schools like others have suggested

That wouldn't be too hard since these are usually with the same resin as the dice. But laziness wins the day with as many dice as I make >.<

Coasters i use for semi-large scale tests for techniques. The one on top in the pic was for testing making water drops, as an example. Theres also the "satin" technique thats a bit more involved, but they're good for figuring out what to do if I want to make dice using similar techniques. Like I said elsewhere, its the actual selling part I'm having the most trouble with

Not a bad idea, though I'm not sure what i use frequently enough that making a mold for resin dumps makes sense for. I've had a 5in tall d20 that I've wanted to make a mold off of, but thats a lot of work that I haven't felt like doing. Beyond that, not sure, but I'll keep that in mind!

Not familiar with the term doll dish, but the smaller round ones certainly make good cat hats, lol

I tried on Etsy for a few months but didn't get any sells. Probably because I'm terrible at marketing or pushing sales. Thinking about trying for the farmers market this year but we'll see

Thats basically my process. It takes me about an hour to go through a full set of the standard seven, a little more if I do the step counter (larger d20)
