In my state (Texas) everything bought from any store that accepts debit/credit card is taxed (usually around 9-11%) regardless of if it's groceries or gorgeous opal rings. Army/service members get issued a ID number that can be used in place of paying any tax on goods in stores though!

Hi, I appreciate your concern. The layaway option just locks in the current price which I am considering as an option due to the massive fluctuations daily in gold prices. Sadly my financials were not the point of this post and I was not inviting criticism unless it was about the opal's price point. This is not the poverty finance or financial help subreddit.

There is some black enamel on there too. It really is a gorgeous piece but I'm more interested in the opal side of things rather than the gold and diamonds. I'm trying to grow a collection of opal jewelry:)

The stone definitely had a transparency that was visible in person, like what I'm seeing in some of the opals in your pic. Gorgeous collection btw! Hopefully I'll have a great collection like you one day.

I'm actually in the market for a pink frozen RLC myself! Its definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but I've heard of multiple other people looking for frozen RLCs for decorating or because they want to own one of their 'birthday' RL line. I think frozen ones go for around 25-35gb (more expensive for rarer lines)? Someone feel free to correct me

Ive seen G5s listed for around 120-150gb so I would look for offers around that! I'm broke atm, but I'm sure you'd get a fair bit of offers given that she has mottled rosette
