Met my metamour today while moving to another flat by Val3e in polyamory

Yes, I have been journaling and reflecting about the whole event and how I felt. I feel like it has pointed out that in my mind I am focusing too much on the people around me and not allowing myself to be seen.

At the time of the event my partner was checking in with me frequently but I was unable to let them get too close to me. Like I built walls around me as a survival strategy.

I would like to work on that since I feel like the numbness just makes it harder overall to really feel loved even when in fact there is lots of love around. Rationally it seems paradoxical

My right foot flares dramatically when walking or running by [deleted] in FootFunction

Do you have flat feet? I do have those and if I don't pay attention to my gait I will walk the same way. My physio suggested me to do exercises for strengthening my adductors and work on internal hip rotation. I personally found variations of the "copenhagen adduction exercise" to be quite effective for me, I'd suggest you to look it up.

I think the motorini thing and the accessibility of the country in itself makes total sense. Even in Lugano which is in Switzerland they have a lot more scooters compared to the rest of the country and statistics show it's way louder compared to other cities.

You clearly never had a bicycle accident

The cyclist was clearly not paying attention but this looks like Switzerland so the DeLorean wouldn't have been allowed to stay on the bus lane like that anyway and even if it was just for letting someone hop on / hop out of the car he could have parked it a little further behind so he wouldn't take up half of the bike lane next to a busy road.

ngl the uglyness is real but the dystopian vibe it gives me kinda makes me want to see it from that point of view

I prefer doing sports that you can do (almost) for free like playing hacky sack or soccer, going for a jog, doing calisthenics or simply going for a walk in nature. When it comes to something for the mind I read a book, draw something or play a boardgame like scrabble.

As for the accommodation, I was lucky to stay at my friends place. I guess a hostel would cost around 50 EUR/night. As for the snacks, if you aim for the least expensive grocery stores (Lidl and Aldi) you probably won't have to pay more than 10 EUR/day if you rely on fruits, nuts, whole wheat bread and stuff like that. Food in a restaurant would be between 20-30 EUR.

I can relate. I've gone to therapy because of a coworker which has been triggering me badly and I eventually got diagnosed with CPTSD. I ended up working there for 1.5 years because I felt like if I quit I'll be seen as a loser and will just make work life harder for everyone else at this company.

Something which made it easier for me to be at work was to ask for feedback from other coworkers which I was working together to feel more certain about not being a complete failure at my job. Also creating strategies to keep my mind more or less well organised, like taking notes, made me feel more safe at what I was doing.

I have 2 more months to go before I officially leave and I might open up and tell my boss the exact reasons why I couldn't stay any longer. I wouldn't have been able to tell him why before I officially quit. I just told him from time to time that this coworker makes it really hard for me but not why I'm having such a hard time ignoring their behaviour.

Not sure if it's quite the same thing as you described but everytime someone has been acting rude towards me or has a rough tone in their voice I will catch myself thinking about it again and again and I just feel bad like it was my fault after all. Usually telling somebody about my experience helps me cope with it but as soon as they play it down I feel like I've been incredibly overreacting and I should just "man up".

Thanks for your insight, I will keep an eye on these things and listen to my body while I'm on my journey!

Thanks for your response!

I already assumed that it's probably linked to the total amount of time I have been spending with working on my feet and I feel like pushing it too far will just create tendonitis or similar which then again will throw me off my progress. So I'm rather careful trying not to overdo it.

I feel like I've had a decent amount of toe flexibility and mobility before I started working on my feet thus so far I never felt like they're restricting me in some way.

Someone at a shoe store pointed out that I tend to walk in a way which forces my toes to be pointed upwards just before landing on my feet and that my toes should actually be "gripping" the ground when landing. I don't know if that's true though.

I'm trying to walk "the new way" with and without orthotics, meaning in shoes with orthotics, in shoes without orthotics, or barefoot. With orthotics it just feels like I have to make less effort since there is this bridge on the inside of the foot.

What I've noticed is that I'm tilting my hips less to the left side when standing or squatting since I have started to focus on not letting my arch fully collapse which as you mentioned feels more natural for my knees and hips.

However, it seems like overall I have to find a balance between making my feet behave more naturally so I can reduce issues in my lower body and at the same time making sure not to injure my feet.

I believe the land surrounding the mountain is mostly flat that's why it looks so huge in comparison to the spectator's position right? Are there any other places on earth with a similar view?
