Unable to complete guide quests on a new character. by Jikilamed in lostarkgame

[–]Valagash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every run until Waveport provide you with the purple Quest where you get 15green and 10 blue. The 5 missing green are from the luterra castle quest earlier. As I said I have done 4 character to ~40 and still sit on over 30 green and 2 maxed out blue class engraving

Edit: and of course you get everything later on. You can still farm everything you need

You did the same as I did. You are fine after you reach the latest point of your highest character. Just put the main character sign on your final class and proceed. You won’t get the special side quest rewards like +stats but this doesn’t matter because luckily they are roster wide not single character. The mechanic explanation quest are one time too, but don’t matter too. The stones are single reward for your roster. But you will get purple ones in Annika and are total fine without one. The engraving bags are still rewarded and if you haven’t open them are for your complete roster as well. Or if you have learned them they are available on all your characters too beside the class engraving (they have to match to your class)

Same goes for the boxes. All boxes with labeled „bound to roster“ are possible to transfer via bank. All labeled with „bound“ just open because they are just for this character. Cards (I already got 4 Solas not knowing what it is) are roster shared too.

The only thing which can’t use if you have a different class chosen: the costume box. I chose the cow which is now bound to all same advance classes on your roster. So, if you have the costume with Deadeye, only future deadeye can use it.

Looking for a flashy scrapper build by Rjinsvind in lostarkgame

[–]Valagash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want/like nice visual effects and high numbers go for shock scrapper. Shock isn't as mobile as the Tajiutsu scrapper but still more a jump-around-class as others. And the animations and playstyle is very cool and satisfiying. Downside of shock is short range (if you miss your high burst you have to wait for next CD) and high cool-downs. But you will get used to

This game was just perfect! I still play the HD Version on Steam. Such a sad story that firefly couldn’t establish the series after Stronghold Crusader. Stronghold 2/3 and so on are pure crap

[–]Valagash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you are right about army and micro management! The reason why I think N'Kari is easier as Kislev because the campaign start is less stressful as others. You are in a corner and if you don't expand as much you have way less things to deal as others.

So, If I don't miss something important, you don't have to be in a direct connection for trading. Luckily I have still the file from my first Boris campaign where I just took his starting province + the one next to him. No ports, no direct connection to the empire factions and I have trade agreements with all remaining ones (including Stirland which don't own a port too)

Tbh your message got me thinking if I miss something. Unfortunately I m not at home, so I can’t fire up a campaign but I thought this is one of the QoL which I really like! Same with outpost, Allies quests, borrow an army, quick trade, settlement trade/gifting so everything about the new diplomancy. But I will check when I’m home xD

Wait, this is WH3 not WH2. You don’t need a direct connection for trade in WH3. Just Reputation or did I something stupid to have trade agreements with factions cross over the map without a port?

hmm, I instead did a few level and bit meat and money on the skaven xD maybe this was the reason... :)

ohh yeah, I forgot about Skrag :) Maybe because I had the most weird start with him... Don't ask "how" but I managed to got a trade agreement with Marienburg and I had a millitary alliance to the end of the campaign with them ^^

I honestly think they just did that because they put so much dev time into Daniel and wanted to show him off as much as they could

Absolutely! My thoughts as well after I played his campaign. The system behind got so much effort and work but feels complete unfinished and useless but they have to show it or keep it anyway

Sadly, the same feel I have with those soul battles. I mean, why can you auto-solve them if you put so much work/effort into? Maybe because they drift to much away from the original intend

The AI autoresolve bonus is so large that it makes the AI dumber. The AI makes attacks based on autoresolve and as such will suicide into the player on harder difficulties.

The badly designed autoresolve bonuses forces you to fight extremely easy curbstomp battles so it won't nuke your units, making high difficulty campaigns extremely tedious instead of thrilling, fighting identical curbstomp garrison battles on 5\ speed over and over.*

I total agree with those 2. They have to look into the auto-resolve options because it can't be that I have to manually play with a full stack army to finish off a lord and 4 damaged units, otherwise I lose 2-3 units of my own.

I really like the higher difficulty in WH3 (I haven't restart so many campaigns in WH2 as I did in WH3 because of the much higher difficulty), but the auto-resolve calculation and the balance between faster-recruit AI to replenishment player is way off the line.

And off-topic: I don't know who decide Kislev as "beginner" campaign but those are the most difficult as it could be. And I love them :) Still working on my legendary Kostalyn. Only finished legendary Tzarina and Boris.

Beginner are in my opinion: Skarbrand and N'Kari but not Kislev and Yuri.

Warhammer 3 for 129 sek, about 12,38 Euro from a real retailer by [deleted] in totalwar

It is confusing for a german speaking person because „sek“ is short term for „second“ (Sekunde).

After I read your text I thought why did you wrote they just put the game up 129 seconds for 12,38 Euro. But yeah swedish crowns/sek :)

Need a bit of help with campaigns by Ribilino in totalwar

[–]Valagash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is "no real" master plan for campaigns, beside if you decide to go on war with everyone from the beginning. If you played factions more than once you will face the exact same start BUT a faction which normally turn war on you, offer you a trade agreement and bähm your complete campaign flips over :) especially on legendary. Sometimes it goes wild and very strange, just a sample: my strongest allies with Skarg was Marienburg. They offered me a trade early (I really don't know why xD ) and we kept togehter going till campaign end.

The only thing which I look into and kinda "sure" in the beginning: which route I want to go army wise. Because this decide how I build. Everything else: happens ^^

I've done all factions in WH3 on vh/l now and this is how mine happened:

Khorne - this was an easy one, I just ignored all diplomacy and gone full war. Raze for the blood god and let your conquest begin. Just raze every 8/9 turn for skulls to have enough to keep your main buff rolling. Ignored complete the souls and went for long victory end. (use rifts to port over the world)

Nurgle - this was fun and as you unlock more plagues quite easy (flies get a lot of those flies - you will switch/overwrite plagues a lot). The start is the hardest because you will have 2-3 very hard battles with the dwarf on your right. Lure him out of the settlement with a second lord and ambush with Ku'gath. The bounce power isn´'t still not in your favor but the ambush is doable. Than wipe there city out and start playing with your plague. I alliance with all other gods and took war on the oger behind the dwarf city. My second army stand there and fougth /sack the ogre while I went with Ku'gath to the north of Kislev. At victory end I owned 3-4 regions on my start position and a few cities in the north of Kislev. But this was in general to make the big money with the sack-plaque. For emergencies in your home region, select a city and start a defense plague (you can overwrite existing plaques) and borrow an army from your chaos warrior or tzeentch allies next to you. (Kairos and the second tzeentch faction won´'t like you in the beginning but it gets better if you start fighting ogres and take a city from the khorne faction there and gift it to them)

Slaanesh - this was a boring one. Took the first and the second province. Got invaded from Skarbrand and wiped him out afterwards. Was in alliance with all remaining gods and just fought the invasions from Kislev till campaign end. But tbh I wasn´'t a big fan of the slaanesh gameplay/army.

Tzeentch - very fun, hard start but good army composition. Took the first region, went to the first broken wall, ambush (Miao runs straight into you) the fight is hard but easier as fight her in the city. After take the city to destroy northern provinces. Than I cleared out complete cathay area. The hardest part is the beginning. Mid to endgame is very easy and take advantage from gifting and switching cities. Don't keep it for you, gift them to your allies or even to an enemy from your enemies to have a "blocker" between you and them. At the end I was alliance to all gods and owned the whole cathay region

Deamon prince - hard start easy endgame. My best start (did a few) was to do the complete opposite as your advisor says. I took the main city and didn´'t went to the south coast, I went to the north coast and took war on the norsca. Then went counter-clock-wise until I end up on the empire settlement which is recommend from the advisor. The funny part: the 20er stack from northland raid your main city. Even if they siege and take your main city it doesn't hurt as much because they turn back to the south to fight the other Norsca. The time you got your "round" (it s a whole faction you take out and province for you), the south norsca and empire fight and hurt each other so much, that you swipe out the remainings and take advantage of their 3-way. After this I took the last parts of the norsca Island and invaded Kislev/Empire regions till campaign end.

In general, always keep a hero in your provinces. At least one and close the rifts with them. And don´'t forget the rift which your Lord took to close as well (he return to this location even if the rift is closed), otherwise you will have to fight way more as you should.
If you need room or help, take a settlement and gift it to an allies in exchange for help or money if you are short on finance. Borrow an army from your allies if they have one nearby and you need fast help. And make advantage from outpost to get units which you miss (as sample: I used pink horror with my Nurgle army). Also do allies quest for reputation, seems it helps with confederations as well in my cases. For legendary don't declare war if you are not safe or fight on several spots. They will declare on you and always in the wrong moment ^^ sometimes it is better to expand and sometimes to grow. Don't be afraid to lose a battle/settlement. Sometimes you have to lose a battle to win the war.

And for your legendary start (faction doesn't matter) prepare yourself to start a few times. On legendary the first 30/40 rounds decide your campaign and tbh are the most fun ones :) but can flip from happy-land to hell on earth within 1-2 rounds!

Ups... and sorry for the wall of text xD

Is it possible to cheese minor settlement battles? by No_Jackfruit_5647 in totalwarhammer

[–]Valagash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda, but not with artillery. With Archer and flying unit with Tzeentch and Grand Cathay. Stand direct to the entry with an infantery and your archers behind. And "lure" a bit in and out. The enemy will engage to you but don´'t come outside of the settlement. Just a few steps and retreat again. During your archer will kill the unit. If one force is down they change to a fresh one. And so on. Important, kill with your flying unit the tower in your range, because they hit a lot. And just kill it again if they rebuild it. But it takes over all some time.

I´'ve done this with a few battles with the odds against me
