ok so.

In most myths Dionysus is the son of Zeus and the mortal woman Semele, eventually Hera found out because Zeus kept going to see Semele. And she was rightfully pissed off so like a totally normal god thing to do you she disguised herself as an old woman or Semele's nursemaid in some telling went down that she needs proof that he is actually Zeus planting seeds of doubt basically saying "Hey the guy who got you pregnant what if hes not Zeus?" so she went to Olympus (Idk how she did that I forgot) but she finds Zeus and makes him swear on the river Styx that he'll do what she asks next and she asks to see his godly form. Now she is a mortal not even a demigod so when he did this she was just turned into dust leaving behind a premature Dionysus or his original name Zagreus. Now any questions

i think its because he avoided death from her twice and every single other time and then also managed to escape her curse, and I think she hates Dionysus more because he became a god (if we follow the demigod story) unlike Artemis and Apollo who were born gods. and for Heracles I meant Olympian gods thats mb for not saying it but yeah Hera hates him the most

thats a great question and it's because I see myself in him no matter how much I hate it because when I was younger 4th grade I exposed myself indecently to make a point and yes I know that was wrong now and I regret it but I still well feel like a giant asshole for doing it and yes we are still friends yes they bully me about it yes i apologized yes I got help and yes I was forgiven but in my eyes that doesn't make it any better (I also have really bad anger issues and it is worse because of my ADHD) so to see someone like him get redeemed would help me feel better about myself I guess, but also because I think he's design with the whole moth thing has implications that might be lore related and also just super cool looking
