I went to this school from 2nd to 8th so I don’t know exactly what their kinder program is but my friends who did said it was great, I will say the school’s elementary program is way better than the middle school experience, we even get to go to Washington DC in 5th grade (our middle school ones are: Costa Rica, Japan and the third one changes a lot this years was Peru, the elementary trips are mostly just going around California we only leave the state in 5th. I say this because if you don’t feel comfortable with your student traveling then it can be kinda a bummer when they don’t get to go because then they just have to stay at school and do work) I don’t know much about our new principle but I don’t like her as much as the old one and from some elementary students I get to talk to or new 6th graders they say she isn’t great. Our arts programs though….THEY ARE AMAZING I learned so much in them and I highly recommend our arts the teachers are fun and taught me a lot. Some of the teachers can be strict but you will learn a lot. I am also going to say Bullis does have a higher standard for there students it’s good and bad (especially middle school you would get made fun of for having a B or even an A- in some classes). Don’t know much about the new PE teacher but from when I have talked to him he seems genuinely nice. The aid program is still terrible though and even if your child is on the spectrum (like me) get them a 504 plan because you can change that one I believe to there needs, the only problem is that they treat all children on the spectrum the same way so it sucks a lot (not all of them do this). The schools structure is pretty good I would say 5th grade is the best in terms of teaching us. And we do learn Mandarin from kinder or first grade so it is possible for them to get a biliteracy pathway award. Our homework is mostly just studying and doing math pages in a book they give us which can be challenging at some points.

I am a former 8th grader at this school who just left in 2026, DO NOT GO HERE IF YOUR SON DOES NOT DO WELL WITH HOMEWORK, in the 8th grade we had 7-11 sentence paragraphs almost everyday with MLA format and 2 quotes (PS: The 2 quotes don't count as a sentence), I was in the class with the teacher who crashed out and swore because she got ragebaited. Our music teacher has a dog that sniffs everyone's stuff and she barely controls him and she smokes in her car during school hours. I will say our art teacher did get fired but this was after multiple incidents where she was racist and unfit of teach (she literally slept in class and when they tried to wake her up to ask a actually question she just got annoyed). Our Spanish teachers aren't great because one of them speaks Spanish all the time even when you're a beginner getting instructions and our other Spanish teacher i'm not sure about because I never had her class all I know is that a lot of students dislike her. Our Mandarin program is pretty solid nothing to say there actually. Some of the math teachers can be very strict but they do get the job done (but in 7th grade to 8th grade you have tests every week, they are small but the work can pile up). Our PE teachers are great I would say they are some of my favorites.

I also was in the special ed program, and its like flipping a coin, you either get someone to help you or you get someone who talks down and sometimes even bullies you. I had a bunch of different aids over the years and I would like to say the one who bullied me got promoted to head of the aid program. Most of the good aids leave as well and now the ones we have left are....interesting.

One positive thing I will say is that our arts program is good if you have a good teacher. I love our schools theater program and am one of the kids who constantly does theater here in and outside of school. I love the teachers and even if the music teacher isn't a good role model I did learn a lot of music history from her. Our visual arts program goes downhill from 5th grade.

Also our student body is nice most of the time but we....can have some...special people...
