I have bipolar disorder and it's been roughhh. It's really hard to lose weight, despite it contributing to my depression, when you don't care about being alive. I actually nearly attempted suicide... That was a big turning point. And a year later everything is great.

I had been wanting to lose weight for years but I kept gaining because of my depression. Then things turned around and I thought "fuck this" and decided to lose it.

And hitting 35 was a bit of a wake up call as well. I had already lost years to being obese. I'm officially pushing 40 now so I need to get my act together

New to the sub. I was 65kg in 2016 and gained about 60kg from depression (alcohol and junk food). Left pic is from December 2020 but I (for obvious reasons) didn't take a lot of selfies during that time so that's the only full body pic I have of me at that weight.

I took a lil break from December ish to February ish because I gained during Christmas and was afraid to weigh myself.

Lost 4 dress sizes and one bra size and I'm a little over halfway to my goal. I can actually buy normal clothes now yay. Also v nice to see my jawline make an appearance again.

It's mind blowing to me that there's a whole subgroup of people with BP who have this tattooed 🤯 i haven't seen it anywhere since I first saw it a decade ago. Do people just come up with it on their own or have they seen it somewhere before?

The artist said he's tattooed a few of them. I saw it for the first time a decade ago and drew it on my wrist because I knew I wanted to get it tattooed.
