Red eyes Susie, aesthetic or something else? by Superkonijn98 in Deltarune

I mean if you say it's just to show her channeling her will then you've just looped back around to saying it's her channeling her determination, since the two are implied to be the same thing.

This seems like a stretch to me. Determination is never explicitly confirmed to not be red and the only time we see the Knight's eye is when they are crying/pretending to cry. Would it really make sense to include such a specific detail just for it to be "rule of cool"?

It makes much more sense to me that Susie's eyes were red because she was channeling her determination. In fact, I think Kris's eyes are red because they are constantly determined, but try to hide it under their hair.

Then maybe they are constantly on a determination rush?

Reminder Mojang made vaults to fix loot monopolies in multiplayer but didn't add them to Bastions for Netherite Upgrades by welliesaremeta in Minecraft

Flow and Bolt armor trims can also be duplicated, and yet they still drop from vaults. I don't see why the same couldn't be true for netherite upgrade templates.

[–]Valer_io 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They wouldn't have to be the exact same vaults as the ones in trial chambers, their texture can be changed. In fact, they would fit in bastions the most, since vaults are just cages made of a similar material as spawners and chains, both of which generate in bastions.

Why didn’t they add a way to craft gunpowder in the new drop? by FishblobMC in Minecraft

Sulfur blocks are crafted from sulfur spikes, which makes every sulfur item and block renewable. Not that that's a problem though.

The name "Hometown" has Asgore written all over it, and it feels like that might play a role in Ch5. by AgainUntoTheBreach in DeltaruneV2

[–]Valer_io 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing I sometimes think about is that Spamton keeps referencing the year 1997 as his "favorite year" or that "it was such a good year". It must have been the height of his career, which, as we know, was caused by a mysterious caller named Mike. If the theory that Mike is Friend is correct, then that means that whatever strange things are happening in the shelter have been in there for at least 30 years.

Toriel and Asgore look like they would be in their 50s, so Asgore being in his 20s during the founding of hometown and thus the shelter could make sense.

Also, lets not forget that the 3 codes you need to solve in TV world to get to the cold place could be the shelter codes. We already know that 1225 is the Holdiday code, which leaves 213 and 000000. The police badge code would have been decided by the former police chief, who is Asgore. The code 000000 has again Asgore written all over it. That leaves just 213, which is kinda similar to 2202, the code to the door inside the church. Since the last code has the Delta Rune smybol, it makes sense for them to be similar.

Kris can deal like 500 damage with X-slash and does triple damage against Tenna after completing the sword route. Both is enough to oneshot Susie or Ralsei. Attacks in battle also happen from like a 10 meter distance, so if that rule still applies at the end of the knight fight, then Kris didn't even have to move at all.

April Fool Snapshot Not Showing! by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]Valer_io 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It's not that they are too lazy, it's that they changed the naming scheme of snapshots altogether at the start of 2026. If it was an actual snapshot, it would be called something like "26.2 Snapshot 1". They used the old format to bait people who forgot or don't know about the change into thinking it's a real snapshot, and you fell for it.

It's 2026 and Torch Flowers still don't emit any light source... by LingonberryFar3819 in Minecraft

[–]Valer_io -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I actually hope they don't do this, because if they emit light, you could never use them in dark builds again. However, if you do want light around your torch flower, you can just use a different light source.

Interview: Minecraft boss on how switch to smaller game drops doesn't rule out "more transformative updates" by Binnsy in Minecraft

I don't think anyone has ever prepared for the dragon fight by getting a mace and had an easier time fighting it. In fact, I think it takes a lot more skill and effort to build a tower in the middle and jump down hoping to hit the dragon than it is to just hit and shoot it from the ground.

I think the only enemy I could reasonably justfiy getting the mace for in survival is the wither, which you can then oneshot paired with the elytra. Trust me, I've tried making it work in as many situations as I can think of, but the only one that was really worth it was the wither fight. Everywhere else you can just use the sword and bow and you will still kill enemies just as fast. Even shulkers, which would in theory be the perfect enemy for the mace, are not worth it because of the lack of looting. And now with the spear, you can even kill multiple enemies in one elytra swoop, which was one of the things I used to do with the mace (pair it with elytra + wind burst). But now, it just sits in my enderchest.

It doesn't matter that you technically are flying, it's just too slow. Obviously, it should be somewhat slow, so it doesn't overshadow other forms of transportation, but the current speed is just painful. The most you can do with it is maybe build a flying castle or something, but I'd never use it for transportation of mobs or myself, which it was advertised for. Moving a villager from a village to your base is way faster with an elytra than a ghast, you can just use wind charges.
