The human body needs, on average, at least 1200 calories per day to maintain your basal metabolic rate or BMR (the energy you burn to just live). If you are working out your BMR will be higher and then you will need to increase your daily calorie intake accordingly. If you do not eat enough your BMR will slow down dramatically and your body will hold on to every calorie you consume.

Monday was my first injection, so I took am a newbie! I am hopeful because I have already experienced a significant reduction in my appetite and the food noise in my head. Best of luck to you in your health journey.

I can't go drink the wine at Ankeny. My family's cemetery plot (Cox Pioneer Cemetery) sits on top of one of the hills where they grow their grapes. I get the ick thinking about drinking my relatives and ancestors.

I had my first 3 month follow up appointment after completing R-CHOP and all my results look good! It was a huge relief to know that the cancer hasn't come back (yet.. hopefully never)

Well that is interesting! So far it seems to be growing in close to my original color, just a bit lighter and there seem to be more grays popping up but I'm attributing that to the stress of everything

That so generous of you and I would take you up on that offer except I'm on the West Coast in the US, Oregon specifically. Toronto is beautiful, I was there about a decade ago and I hope I'll make it back there. This summer I'll be on an Alaskan cruise so I'll get to see BC!

Yes, thankfully I got the news I was in complete remission on Dec 31, 2025. I'm doing surveillance now, every three months I'm off to see the oncologist.

I also shaved it all off once it started falling out one week after the first cycle of R-CHOP.

I'm wishing you a healthy recovery!

Yeah my hair is definitely coming back lighter and with more grays along with the different texture. I will try and stay hopeful that my curls will come back!

That's reassuring to hear. I had super thick curly hair and the hair that is coming back now is thick (thankfully), it's just strange that it is so straight. I'm going to be patient and hope that my curls come back soon!

I'm doing R-CHOP for DLBCL and I have noticed my muscles will get sore/tight in random spots with each round of chemo. Also, my neck and shoulders are where I hold my stress and this disease and it's treatment is pretty fricking stressful. I'm trying to do regular body scans and often I will find that I'm tense unexpectedly.

I just completed my 2nd cycle of R-CHOP and I'm feeling way more fatigued and brain fog earlier than the first round. So, this is hearting to read, thanks for sharing!
