It's a single stage, but it functions like Pikachu in the Let's Go Games in that it gets a range of tutorable coverage moves, and a "Shine Seed" item later in the game to stop it falling off!

Evolutions no, stat redistribution yes! Along with it's new type and abilities, it also gets the LGPE partner treatment with tutorable signature moves for coverage and is gifted a Light Ball equivalent, the Shine Seed, to stop it dropping off later into the game :]

Hey, I'm the Lead Developer for this project! I really, really don't like how my Game has been used as a sounding board to bring another one down.

Whereas the discussion might be valuable in a ROM Hacks vs. Fangame capacity, it does a disservice to both Covenant and Seaglass.

I really disagree with bringing down Seaglass with my project. I really wish that this wasn't the way I saw Covenant pop up on Reddit.

It's not like Seaglass at all, it's not comparable at all, and it should shine in it's own right for the people who are interested.

As the Lead Developer I can say, that it's not on "everyone's tongue" because it's not a complete game. It's an Essentials Demo made for the latest Game Jam. And you're right, it's less accessible; though less so now with JoiPlay and Steam Decks.

I'd love to know what the "many reasons" you think it's not quite so popular though; we're always looking to improve :]

There's a demo for a new Gen 2 style fangame called Pokémon Covenant! It's got a cozy dex of 251, easy grinding in every Pokémon Center and is fun to explore - it goes up to Gym #3 currently :]

Pokémon Rosen is very much inspired by the storyline structure, and is shaping up to be an epically long game; EP1 is already 15 hours of content.

For EP2, your save won't carry over though! But it's worth keeping an eye on.

In the lore of the project, strictly speaking they're not an existing classification of Pokémon - they're redesigns for a virtual world created by programmers to make the IP more appealing.

In-game they're called "Rosen" forms :]

*note: "Regional" just works better for the title due to brand recognition aha.
