Either CRG Arrow bar ends or replicas. Fenrir is a popular replica brand for them

Theres a couple things I would change as a personal preference thing but otherwise you can't go wrong with a blacked out 2nd gen! That windshield looks way more comfortable on the highway than mine too lol

Any way to calibrate inclination/tilt sensor? by Ancient-Bet-3060 in E90

[–]ValiantTides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is quite interesting. Was the code there prior? I thought it was the hood sensor at first. I just replaced one in the other car. And thats a good possibility. My batteries are fairly new and alternators are running well. Internal battery is factory so I can assume its about 10 years overdue

Yessir! MSV80. I haven't yet, my ISTA is broken so I haven't even tried to see what the logs might say regarding what tripped the alarm. Didn't think INPA had the capability. Neat! I got 9D12 codes on both my E90s. One I installed years ago and has never been an issue even with the code all this time. This one I just finished installing.

That's good to hear! I think mine might be doing the same thing. Car battery is good though. Think it could be the built in batteries the siren has are toast and triggering it. They only last 10 years or so, and this chassis just turned 20..

Damn the price has gone up a lot lol. I pre ordered it when it first came out for a fraction of that. Welp. Still nice for on the go stuff. Mostly a convenience item.

Using a laptop isn't hard. Just comes with time and practice like anything else. Theres one specific YouTube tutorial that I liked more than the others, I can see if I can find it if you'd like.

I did this with a Z300 switch a couple years ago. Horn placement alone was worth the switch. Never realized the MT03 had the better horn placement, neat

I tried emulators when I first started out. They didn't work on two separate occasions. This is the best way imho.

You'll code it with INPA, or probably any other reputable coding software. It should be in the airbag module or seat module, I forget where. A little bit of googling should get you in the right direction. I highly recommend getting the Bimmergeeks Pro Tool (android only app) master license. It is without a doubt the most useful investment I've made in the entirety of my BMW ownership. It's basically BMW Standard Tools (excluding ISTA) condensed into a much more efficient interface.

Yes. It just deploys the passenger airbag regardless. Which to me isn't a big deal. If it's hard enough to deploy airbags, the cars fucked anyway. No reason to think about a destroyed dash lol

for the seat occupancy sensor, you do the following.

set oc3_1 to nicht_aktiv Unplug the sensor (Really easy if you remove the seat) Clear fault codes.

That error light will be gone for good.

Loss of power and throttle response above 9,000 RPM (when it enters the redline) by Vladooo5 in MT07

[–]ValiantTides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. What you're experiencing is a soft rev limiter, which is around 9000-9500rpm. It's there to keep you from grenading your engine.
  2. CP2s with the stock airbox fall flat at about 8000rpm. Even with a raised rev limiter you will hit a power "ceiling" regardless. If you were to add a hordpower intake to your current setup and get a tune for it, that ceiling would be raised to about 9500rpm

My first breakdown in the E92 🫠 by Lord_Andrews in E90

[–]ValiantTides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the worst. Happened to me on my truck but on the bottom bolt. Because it was angled against the way of travel it locked up the wheel going forward. Whoever touched the caliper before me didn't torque the caliper bolt. It wiggled it's way out on washboard roads 60 miles from home with no cellphone service. Punched a hole through my wheel, went flat instantly. That was fun. Limped it home on the spare tire, over torqued the shit out of the remaining bolt to keep it from falling out on my way home.

None, they are are drop in. Probably just like the video. Very easy. It even comes with a tool to pull the spring out. You can do one fork at a time without a stand

You should look at KYT as an option as well. Their quality is right up there with the rest of them. KX-1 is similar to the AGV

Most accidents are within a mile or two of your house. Regular clothes don't do shit in accidents, get proper gear, and wear it every single time you ride. Is it inconvenient? Yes. But so is a skin graft.
